Best NFL Free Picks & Predictions for Week 5

Offering apologies for our “Black Sunday” Week 4 selections of NFL Free Picks, we move onward and upward with our Week 5 NFL Free Picks.

With Detroit and Miami enjoying a BYE, the action opens with a TNF prime time beauty as the Rams visit the Seahawks.

2019 Week 5 NFL action plays out October 3rd, 6th and 7th

We ended up with no chicken, just feathers, with our Week 4 picks as we went 0-4. Our record falls to 18-13 (+402.18) so far this season. Dusting ourselves off, let’s look at the NFL Week 5 odds and begin to rebuild the bankroll.

Los Angeles @ Seattle: 03/10/19 at 8:20 PM ET

NFC West Division rivals open the Week 5 action when the Rams and Seahawks clash at CenturyLink Field. Seattle (3-1) returns home after a 27-10 win in Arizona. The Seahawks lost both matches (33-31 / 36-31) versus the Rams last season.

Los Angeles (3-1) looks to rebound after getting trounced 55-40 by Tampa Bay at home last week. A weak offensive line and suspect secondary are growing concerns for the Rams. Not sure of the winning side - a 27-24 final score seems about right.

Chicago @ Oakland: 06/10/19 at 1:00 PM ET

Featured in the first of five International games, Oakland is designated home team versus Chicago at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Raiders (2-2) are playing the third of five straight road games. That’s a significant factor in this contest.

Since a season opening loss to Green Bay, Chicago (3-1) has won three straight. QB Chase Daniels, who played well coming off the bench last week, starts in place of Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder). Weary Raiders and the Bears defense will be the difference here.

Week 5 Parlay Free Pick: Bears + Steelers + Eagles

Our parlay record fell to 3-1 when the Texans lost at home to Carolina last week. With Chicago as our Free Pick cornerstone, we are adding Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The Steelers are home dogs against Baltimore so the cost of buying extra points is reasonable.

Starting to get healthy, the Eagles host the New York Jets who will have QB Luke Falk under center again. Coming out of a BYE won’t be much an advantage for New York who is 0-10 all-time vs the Eagles. That includes 0-5 in Philly.

  • Chicago -5 (1.90)
  • Pittsburgh +10.5 (1.33)
  • Philadelphia – 9.5 (1.50)

Cleveland @ San Francisco 07/10/19 @ 8:15 PM ET

Upstart squads square off on the Monday Night Football stage when San Francisco (3-0) hosts Cleveland (2-2) at Levi's Stadium. The 49ers are fresh off a BYE and look to build on wins over the Bucs (31-17) Bengals (41-17) and Steelers (24-20).

Looking to snap a “lose one – win one” streak the Browns enter this contest following a 40-25 rout of the Ravens. RB Nick Chubb is helping take pressure off QB Baker Mayfield who is helping himself by getting rid of the ball quicker to avoid sacks.
