This one will come to a close in Game 6
The stars looked like they had aligned for the Washington Nationals after they won the first two games of the World Series. Ever since, though, it's been all Houston, which now holds a 3-2 lock on things.
Game 6 will return to Houston, where Justin Verlander will take the mound for the Astros and Stephen Strasburg will start for Washington.
All the momentum is in Houston's favor, as the World Series odds have them as big favorites to get the win on Tuesday and close the series on their home turf.
With Verlander pitching, we like Houston to clinch things and record their second World Series win in the last three years.
Houston should win in a close one
With Stephen Strasburg and Justin Verlander pitching on Tuesday night, Game 6 certainly is expected to be a low-scoring contest. Both hurlers are among the top starters in the league.
While Verlander hasn't had his best stuff in the postseason, what better time to shut up his haters than in Game 6 with the opportunity to seal a title for his team?
As for Strasburg, he'll look to do everything possible to keep the Astros quiet and help his team live to see another day.
With the over/under set at 7.5 runs, our MLB picks here will be to go with the under.

Houston is 27 outs from a World Series championship. Justin Verlander takes the mound on Tuesday at Minute Maid Park for Game 6.
Nationals' World Series hopes on the respirator
Last week, Washington was a massive favorite to win the World Series after they defeated both Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander in Game 1 and Game 2.
Things have surely changed ever since they've lost three consecutive games, though. The Nats appeared on the cusp of winning their first Fall Classic, but their odds have now dropped dramatically to 6.50.
If you still have faith in Washington, you can certainly still bet on them to battle back. However, those odds most certainly are not in your favor.
Houston a favorite to win the 2020 World Series as well?
Believe it or not, the Astros are already expected to compete for the 2020 World Series as well. Both the Astros and the Yankees have the top odds to win it all next year at 7.00.
Behind them in the odds are the Dodgers, Braves, Red Sox, Indians, Nationals and Phillies. While 2019 still isn't over yet, Houston is certainly set for the future.
The only main issue surrounding them is Gerrit Cole's impending free agency, as the superstar pitcher is expected to sign with a new team to a huge contract this offseason.
But, if you believe Houston has what it takes to win this year and next year too, don't hesitate to get your bets in.
