Dodgers are big the favorites going into Game 2
When the Dodgers and Blue Jays meet up on Wednesday night at Dodgers Stadium, L.A. will enter that contest ready to send stud right-handed pitcher Walker Buehler to the mound. For Toronto, this will present a problem.
Buehler has been as steady as can be for the Dodgers, posting a 10-3 record and 3.31 ERA. Add in the hot bats of Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner and others, and it could be a long night for Toronto.
Because of this, we're giving the Dodgers the advantage for Game 2 and are picking them.
Blue Jays will look for revenge in the series-finale
While Game 2 should go to the Dodgers, the Blue Jays are looking strong for Game 3. That's because L.A. will start righty Kenta Maeda.
Maeda is 8-8 on the year, with a 4.18 ERA. He's struggled with staying consistent and his fastball has started to dip of late. With Toronto featuring power throughout its lineup, this will give them a great chance.
Will the Jays be able to close out the series with a win? We think so!
Plenty of runs should be scored in Game 3
Whenever Toronto and L.A. square off, tons of runs should be expected, as the two clubs feature players who can leave the yard at any at-bat.
While Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is dealing with an injury, guys like Bo Bichette, Eric Sogard and others can pose problems. Meanwhile for L.A. there's no denying their lineup is totally stacked.
With this being said, Game 3 should be a high-scoring contest, especially with Maeda on the hill for L.A. Take the over.
Will the Dodgers advance to another World Series?
After making it to back-to-back World Series, the Dodgers are hoping to make it for a third-straight year come this fall. And thus far this season, they're once again one of the best MLB teams.
So much in fact, they're massive favorites to win the NL pennant once again. According to Betway, the Dodgers have 1.80 odds to win the NL.
Though teams like the Braves, Nationals and Cubs are also contenders, L.A. feels like a safe bet to do the unthinkable and get to the World Series one more time.
