Braves will be favorites for Game 1 of series
While Atlanta’s starting pitcher is yet to be announced, the White Sox are expected to start hard-throwing right-handed pitcher Ivan Nova. Nova is 9-10 on the year, with a 4.37 ERA. Those aren’t the kind of stats White Sox fans want to see, especially going up against a lineup like Atlanta’s.
Because of the firepower for the Braves, highlighted by stars Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuña, Ozzie Albies and others, they’ll be favorites for Friday’s game.
Will they prove bettors wrong and come out on top? We think so.
More of the same expected for Game 2
If White Sox followers were hoping for good news ahead of Saturday’s game, you’ve come to the wrong place. For Atlanta, though, they’ll be all smiles when they see Chicago’s Reynaldo Lopez is getting the start.
Lopez is 8-11 this year, with a troublesome 5.08 ERA. These kinds of numbers don’t bode well leading up to a game against the mighty Braves.
We have Atlanta expected to win Game 1 and we’re going to go ahead and pick them for Game 2 as well.

Can the White Sox steal Game 3 from the Braves?
In Sunday night’s game at SunTrust Park, the White Sox will have their best change to win a game in Atlanta, as they send stud hurler Lucas Giolito to the bump.
Giolito has been among the best pitchers in the American League, holding a 14-7 record, with a 3.20 ERA and 203 strikeouts. Plain and simple, he’s dominant on the mound, which could spell trouble for the Braves.
With Giolito on the hill, we’ll give the White Sox the advantage for the series finale.
Braves among favorites to win NL Pennant
Though the Dodgers are the major favorites to win the NL Pennant, don’t forget about these Atlanta Braves. Loaded with young talent throughout the roster, the Braves hold the second-best odds.
Per bookmakers at Sports Interaction, the Braves hold 4.25 odds to stun the World and capture the NL crown.
Though L.A. is the No. 1 option, could Atlanta end up turning some heads and steal it from the Dodgers? With the postseason around the corner, you never know what might happen.
