Home run props are among baseball’s highest-variance bets, but Tuesday’s MLB slate features three hitters with compelling power profiles: Salvador Perez, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Randy Arozarena. Each brings a different case to the plate, from matchup-specific upside to elite recent power production. Here are our three home run picks at FanDuel, which offers a hearty home-run boost to its users every Tuesday.
Salvador Perez (+430)
Perez is an intriguing home run target against the Toronto Blue Jays, particularly with Max Scherzer scheduled to start for Toronto. Scherzer has struggled badly in 2026, entering Tuesday with a 7.40 ERA and 1.51 WHIP. That creates an appealing matchup for a veteran slugger, who has four career home runs and a lofty 1.160 OPS in 35 career at-bats against Scherzer.
Perez has 17 home runs this season and recently became the Royals’ all-time home run leader, passing George Brett. He also homered against Detroit on Aug. 22, giving him some recent evidence of power heading into this matchup.
The Statcast matchup is worth noting, too. Perez’s 2026 profile includes a .235 batting average, .416 slugging percentage and 15.8% barrel rate, according to Baseball Savant. While his recent overall production hasn’t matched the other two hitters on this list, the combination of Scherzer’s struggles and Perez’s ability to generate hard contact makes him an attractive plus-money home run candidate.

Fernando Tatis Jr. (+470)
Tatis is the strongest recent-form home run play of the three. He enters Tuesday having erupted for seven homers over a 14-game stretch from Aug. 9-25, while hitting .340 with a .410 OBP and .792 slugging percentage. That production has resulted in a remarkable 1.202 OPS during the stretch.
He has also homered twice in a game multiple times during this recent surge, including a two-homer performance against Minnesota on Aug. 23. Earlier in the month, Tatis launched a 465-foot homer at 114.7 mph, demonstrating the kind of raw power that makes his home run props so dangerous for opposing pitchers.
Tatis’ season line stands at 17 homers, 67 RBI and a .287 average through 130 games. With seven homers in his last 14 games, however, his current power level is considerably more important than his season-long total.
He’s facing long +470 odds Tuesday because he’s facing Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes. But the flamethrower has struggled mightily recently, allowing seven earned runs over his last 14 1/3 innings pitched, so Tatis Jr. is catching him at a good time.
Tatis Jr. to hit a home run
Randy Arozarena (+500)
Arozarena may be the hottest pure power play of the group. He has 20 home runs this season, but the recent numbers are what make Tuesday’s prop especially appealing. He hit two homers against the Cubs on Aug. 22, including a walk-off two-run blast, then homered again the following day.
That gives Arozarena three home runs in his last two games entering Tuesday. His recent home-run log also shows another homer against Houston on Aug. 16, giving him four long balls in the span of eight games from Aug. 16-23.
Additionally, Arozarena will be squaring off Tuesday against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola, who has allowed the most home runs (31) in the majors this season. If the retractable dome is open on Tuesday in Seattle, and the weather forecast looks favourable at this point, 10-mph winds will also be blowing out to centre field.
Overall, Arozarena owns a .274 average, 20 homers and an .836 OPS this season. The recent power spike, combined with his ability to hit for both power and speed, makes him one of the day’s most compelling home run candidates.
