Astros looking to rough up Sandoval
With Houston's hot bats throughout its lineup, it gives nightmares to opposing pitchers on a daily basis. Imagine having to face the likes of George Springer, Alex Bregman and others.
Well, come Friday night, Angels pitcher Patrick Sandoval will have the unfortunate task of trying to quiet down their bats.
On the year, Sandoval is 0-3, and has a not-so-good 5.25 ERA. Those numbers are something Houston is ready to feast after.
With Jose Urquidy on the hill for the 'Stros, we think they'll have no trouble winning this one and also covering the spread of 1.5 runs.
Verlander ready to keep on rolling
Whenever right-handed ace Justin Verlander takes the bump, it spells trouble for the opposing team.
Once again, the veteran hurler has been dominant this season, posting a 20-6 record and 2.53 ERA. To add to that, Verlander also has 288 strikeouts this season.
Yup, those are the numbers of a future Hall of Famer. And come Saturday, he'll get the start for the Astros to take on LA.
Once again, especially with Verlander on the hill, we're taking the Astros to come out on top.
Astros will end the season the right way
Though Houston won't be able to record a series sweep (they lost on Thursday night), they'll look to end the regular season with a bang come Sunday.
Come the series finale, Houston will send Gerrit Cole to start the game. Cole, similar to Verlander, has been downright sensational this season.
On the year, Cole is 19-5 with a 2.52 ERA. With a victory, he'd join Verlander with at least 20 wins on the campaign.
With Cole throwing serious gas, expect Houston to win this one comfortably too.
Astros remain the favorites to win World Series
With the postseason just about here, fans everywhere are starting to get ready for which teams will go on runs to make it to the World Series.
Ever since the start of the season, the Astros have been among the favorites to get to the Fall Classic and that hasn't changed.
Per Sports Interaction, Houston has the highest odds at 3.10 to win the World Series. Think they'll be able to get the job done? If so, put your bet in today.
