James Paxton must pitch game of his life on Friday night
After winning Game 1 of this series, Yankee fans were dreaming of the World Series. Now, they’re down 3-1 to Houston and James Paxton is getting the starting nod against Justin Verlander in Game 5.
Plain and simple, Paxton needs to pitch like the ace lefty he can be. Earlier in this series, he struggled mightily against Houston, which obviously can not happen again. The Canadian needs to step up and be dominant.
Otherwise, the Boronx Bombers season will be over.
Although taking down Verlander seems impossible and the MLB odds will be against them, NY fans will have to hope they get the job done. With this game being in the Bronx, we don’t think the Yankees will fall just yet.
We’re going with New York.
Game 6 will return to Minute Maid Park
Losing the first two games in New York has been nothing short of a costly nightmare for the Yankees. They had home-field advantage, but blew it.
Due to the rain-out, there isn’t a travel day off, as the series shifts back to Houston and we get right back at it on Saturday 19/10/19 at 8:08 PM ET. Managers haven’t announced their starters but this will be a “bullpen” game.
Expect NYY Chad Green (4-4 ERA 417) to open Game 6 against HOU Brad Peacock (7-6 ERA 4.12) at Minute Maid Park in Texas. Held in check, for the final eight innings during Game 5, both teams bats should come alive here.

Astros monster favorites to win the World Series
Now that they’re up 3-1 on the Yankees, many out there think it’s a foregone conclusion Houston will be headed to the World Series.
For New York to win three straight seems like too tall of a task. And, the oddsmakers believe the same, as the Astros’ odds to win it all have skyrocketed to 1.66.
After winning it all back in 2017, the Astros are looking to win their second title in the last three years. Think they’ll get it done? Get your bets in.
Don't forget about the Nationals for the World Series
Sure, it’s been easy to focus on the Astros and the Yankees when making your MLB picks this week. But, have you forgotten about Washington?
Let us remind you the Nationals are red hot right now and their starting rotation is amazing, featuring Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg.
Also, NLCS MVP Howie Kendrick has been an inspiration to us all, taking advantage of his new opportunity with the Nats.
The Nationals hold 2.50 odds to win the World Series. Whether they play the Yanks or Astros, they’ll be ready to put up a good fight.
