Best NFL picks and predictions for Week 16

The Seattle Seahawks will host the Arizona Cardinals this weekend in a game that will have major implications for their chase to win the NFC West championship.

In the second to last week of the NFL season, there's a full load of games that could very well prove to make the difference for championships and postseason seeding. What's mid-December without a little football drama, right?

In the NFC, the Seahawks, Saints, Packers and 49ers remain in the hunt to capture the No. 1 spot. The 49ers need some major help, though, as they were stunned at home by the Falcons in Week 14, leaving the door open for Seattle to not only win the division, but compete for the coveted home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Yup, it's sure to be a thrilling week for games, and we've got you covered here at Canada Sports Betting with our weekly NFL picks

Houston at Tampa Bay: 19/12/2019 @8:20 PM ET

After defeating the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in Nashville, the Texans now hold a strong lead in the AFC South division. It's been a sensational campaign for Deshaun Watson, who will look to keep things going against Tampa Bay on Thursday Night Football.

For the Bucs, injuries have hurt them late in the season, as star receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin won't be playing. Evans hurt himself in Week 14, while Godwin was carted off the field in Sunday's win over the Lions.

Despite Jameis Winston throwing for a ton of yards and touchdowns of late, look for Watson and Co. to keep their winning ways going over the Bucs. Their NFL odds have them as 3-point favorites, which we believe they'll cover.

Arizona at Seattle: 22/12/19 @ 4:25 PM ET

Just like that, the Seahawks have found themselves in a great position to win their division and perhaps sneak off with the No. 1 seed in the NFC. In order to keep those hopes alive, though, they've got to take down Arizona.

With Sunday's game being played in Seattle, you know the fans are going to be going wild to try and distract quarterback Kyler Murray. The rookie has had a solid year, but this will be his first regular season game in the Pacific Northwest. Russell Wilson, meanwhile, has continued his MVP-type season.

Thus far in 2019, the signal caller has thrown for 3,708 yards and 28 touchdowns. With Chris Carson getting better each week running the rock too, this team is tough to beat.

This is bad news for the Cardinals, as we're picking Seattle to keep its hot streak going and leave the stadium on Sunday with a win.

Week 16 parlay free picks: Falcons + Patriots + Chiefs

While there should be some see-saw battles across the league this weekend, there are three games and teams we're feeling more than confident about: Atlanta, New England and Kansas City.

Those three teams are coming off strong wins last weekend and will face the Jaguars, Bills and Bears, respectively, in Week 16. The game between Buffalo and New England is arguably the Game of the Week, but it's being played in Foxboro: Advantage Tom Brady.

The Falcons will play Jacksonville, but they'll do so with plenty of confidence after beating San Francisco. Kansas City will play the Bears in Chicago, which is tough, but Patrick Mahomes looks unstoppable and the team's defense has been stellar.

  • Falcons moneyline (1.32) over the Jaguars
  • Patriots moneyline (1.37) over the Bills
  • Chiefs moneyline (1.46) over the Bears

Other than the Falcons, NE and KC will need to win this week to keep their Super Bowl odds high. They will get the job done.

Green Bay at Minnesota: 23/12/19 @ 8:15 PM ET

This one is going to be a battle. Aaron Rodgers vs. Kirk Cousins is always going to be an offensive treat, especially with the game being played inside Minnesota's U.S. Bank Stadium. Weather won't be a factor here.

So, who has the edge? Green Bay's offense will need to fire on all cylinders in this one. Rodgers and Co. need to get hot from the start. They've been sloppy of late, which can't be the case against the Vikings. For Minnesota, they're expected to be without star running back Dalvin Cook, who got hurt in Week 15.

With a win, Minnesota could end up snatching the NFC North championship from Green Bay. They're slight favorites to be victorious, which we agree with. We're taking the Vikings.
