NBA Free Picks & Predictions: Sacramento Kings @ Toronto Raptors
We’re back at the Scotiabank Arena for an Interconference matchup with the champs. They host the Sacramento Kings as they make the long journey up for our Wednesday night game.
The Raptors were looking to make it four wins from four, until they faced off against the Bucks in their last game losing it 115-105.
Sacramento dominated the Knicks in their previous game, but can they upset the Raptors on the hardwood tonight?

- 02Paylay Pick: Toronto Raptors to win & over 219 (3.30)
- 03Raptors to win the race to 20 points & have highest scoring quarter (3.20)
Sacramento Kings (4.00) @ Toronto Raptors (1.31)
It was an East vs West coast matchup for the Kings’ last game. They ran through the New York Knicks 113-92, with De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield scoring over 20 points a piece.
The win puts them at 2-5 outright.
The Kings have had a difficult journey through their 2019/20 campaign thus far. Losses in their opening 5 games had put them in an uncomfortable position, however wins over the Knicks and Jazz has given them a new lease of life.
Although they lost, the Raptors put a shift in against the Bucks. Kyle Lowry managed 36 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists, as well as the usual faces VanVleet and Siakam making solid contributions.
The loss meant that the Raptors now are on 4-2 for the season. They’ll hope to get back to winning ways in this one, and with both teams having three days rest they should be well prepared.
The fact that the Kings are looking for their third consecutive win should give them a little bit more on the court. But, the ability of this Raptors team will likely overcome the Kings.
Take the Raptors to win at home.
Paylay Pick: Toronto Raptors to win & over 219 (3.30)
Although the Kings are now looking at a third win in three, we must not forget that they were 0-5 just before the win over the Jazz - which incidentally they lost on the road to the Jazz 3 games before.
Sacramento must look to improve their record on the road, if they are to get anything out of this season. There are few worse places to go than the Scotiabank Arena after what those fans went through last season.
The NBA betting odds heavily favour a win for the Raptors, but there will be opportunities for the Kings to make their mark on this game.
They will, no doubt, be motivated to get out there and show they are a competitive side with aspirations for season.
They have players who can punish Toronto. The Raptors dropped to 7th in the NBA power rankings this week after their loss to Giannis’s Bucks. Coach Luke Walton should rally his men and look to utilise their offense.
History favours the Kings who are 26-19 outright in all-time regular season series, including a 120-105 victory for the kings last season.
Take Raptors to win & over 219.
Raptors to win the race to 20 points & have highest scoring quarter (3.20)
The Raptors lost by a margin of 10 points to the Milwaukee Bucks, which is minimal. But they let themselves fall behind early on; they were 19 down in the 1st and 26 in the 2nd.
Toronto will look to correct that against the Kings. Granted they were playing one of the 2019/20 title contenders last game, nonetheless they should be looking to defend their title and play as such.
The Raptors are 12th in the league in scoring offense with 113 points per game this season. They’re 6th in rebounds per contest and tied 11th in assists. Pascal Siakam is still the lead scorer. But with Klow’s performance in the last, the gap is closing.
The Kings will enter game eight 27th in the league in scoring offense, as they average 101.1 points per game. This doesn’t bode well against the Raptors and favours this NBA free pick.
Expect the Raptors to hit 20 points first & have the highest scoring quarter.
