NBA Free Picks & Predictions: Milwaukee Bucks @ Minnesota Timberwolves
To kick-off our NBA week, we’re heading to the Target Center Minneapolis for an Eastern vs Western Conference matchup between the Bucks and Timberwolves.
Minnesota will still be without starman Karl-Anthony Towns, who’s serving a two-game suspension. While the Bucks continue to boast one of the best offenses in the league.
Will it be a third win on the bounce for the Bucks?

- 01Milwaukee Bucks (1.40) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (3.10)
- 02High offensive averages, Milwaukee Bucks to win & over 232.5 (3.40)
- 03One for Timberwolves fans, Minnesota to win & over 112.5 (4.40)
Milwaukee Bucks (1.40) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (3.10)
The Bucks recorded their first loss of the season last week against, our dark horse NBA free pick for the championship, the Celtics.
But they bounced back to pick up two wins against the struggling Magic and last seasons’ champs the Raptors.
The Bucks currently sit on 4-2 outright. Milwaukee’s Antetokounmpo, the likely MVP for this season, gave a domineering performance against the Raptors, as he dropped 36 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists.
The Timberwolves have started the season really well, ranking fifth in the league for points scored per game at 118.0. They’ve been really impressive offensively, but will be without Towns tonight.
Players have stepped up in his absence, but against the Greek Freak the fringe players will have to go up a few gears if they want to grind out a result like they did against the Wizards.
The Wolves sit at 4-1 outright for the season.
It’s certainly worth nothing that the NBA betting odds across all bookies heavily favour the visitors for this one.
Take Bucks to make it from in a third consecutive win.
High offensive averages, Milwaukee Bucks to win & over 232.5 (3.40)
The Bucks appear to be finding form on both ends of the floor. But the fact remains for the Bucks, their best defense is offense averaging 119.2 points per game, which is second in the league this season.
Currently, the Bucks have five players averaging in double figures with Bucks centre Brook Lopez putting in work alongside the Greek Freak.
The Timberwolves have been hot on points this season too, sitting at fifth in the points per game table on 118.0.
They’re form this season had them in first place in the NBA power rankings, but have since dropped down to fourth after a loss to the 76ers.
Without towns it may hinder Minnesota’s offensive power. But in the game against the Wizards, stand-out performances from Wiggins, Teague, Dieng and Covington meant they took the victory and a boost confidence knowing they don’t need Towns to win.
Expect a lot of points, with the Bucks winning and over 232.5.
One for Timberwolves fans, Minnesota to win & over 112.5 (4.40)
Minnesota have managed to score 116 or more in their last 9 games, including preseason, which is a pretty impressive feat. They have had a number of players finding the net and as a team they’ve looked solid.
Their defense is what drives their attack. They have the most turnovers on the floor than anyone else in the league, but against the power of Bucks this may not work.
The Timberwolves will rely on role players, such as Jarret Culver and Jake Layman in order to win at the Target Center.
One thing’s for sure, this won’t be like the game against the Wizards - they have to contend with the worlds best in Giannis.
It will be a huge game for Gorgui Dieng, who will have to manage the big Californian Brook Lopez. He had an outstanding performance against the Wizards, let’s see if he can do it again against a far superior team.
This is our NBA free pick for the Timberwolves fans, as all bookies are leaning towards the Bucks for the Monday night matchup.
Take Minnesota to win & over 112.5.
