NBA Free Picks: Boston Celtics @ Brooklyn Nets
We’re in the Barclays Center for the second of the home and away head-to-head matchup between the Celtics and the Nets.
The Nets lost out on Wednesday night, giving up the game 121-110. However, this time around Brooklyn will be in front of the home fans.
Celtics to win both games in the head-to-head?

- 01Boston Celtics (2.30) vs Brooklyn Nets (1.70)
- 02Parlay Pick: Boston win & over 219.5 total (4.01)
- 03Parlay Play: Celtics to win & to take the first quarter (3.55)
Boston Celtics (2.30) vs Brooklyn Nets (1.70)
The NBA betting odds favour back-to-back wins in this tie for the Celtics, who have been excellent all season long.
Boston played an excellent game against a young Nets roster, who were without starman Kyrie Irving. Irving has missed the last 7 games with a sore shoulder and the crowd were heckling him all game long, even though he wasn’t playing.
The Celtics are 13-4 for the season outright, compared to the Nets who go 9-9 outright. The Celtics have been excellent this season, led by Kemba Walker in offense (averaging 21.1 points and 4.7 assists).
The Nets went into Wednesdays’ game looking for their 5th consecutive win, which was the best win-streak they’ve had so far this season.
Brooklyn were unlucky at TD Garden, as they led at the start of the first half before being comfortably beaten in the second.
Take the Celtics to win in New York.
Kemba Walker sure made his presence felt Wednesday night, as he dropped a season-high 39 points during our 121-110 win over the Nets. pic.twitter.com/ECDQu7fyvD— Boston Celtics (@celtics) November 28, 2019
Parlay Pick: Boston win & over 219.5 total (4.01)
Boston have looked to Kemba Walker for the majority of their points this season, but there are a number of other names that have contributed to the team’s success.
Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Daniel Theis have been throughout this early stage of the season. They managed to accumulate 52 points between the 3 of them against the Nets in the last.
Without Kyrie, the Nets needed to rely on others to find the points. A youngful squad led by Garrett Temple (22) and Joe Harris (21), who played an excellent game and led Brooklyn at certain stages of the game.
They’ll be without Kyrie again for this one, so the pressure to produce will be back on. But unless the can find a way to keep point guard Marcus Smart occupied, it could be another disappointing night.
Given the high-scoring game we saw in Boston on Wednesday night, we expect more of the same for our NBA free pick for today.
Expect Boston to win & over 219.5 total.
Parlay Play: Celtics to win & to take the first quarter (3.55)
The Celtics won the first quarter last time and they’ll look to impose themselves as early on as possible in the return fixture.
There were chants of “MVP” around the ground when Kemba Walker starting to get into his stride. But the question remains whether he can maintain playing at this standard for the duration of the season.
The fans let Kyrie Irving know what they thought of his departure and the emergence of Kemba Walker on Wednesday night. Posters were flown and chants rang out at TD Garden.
Strangely the Celtics have been playing better without Kyrie, aside from the fact they lost their last game of course. Will the Boston fans continue to give Irving grief in New York?
Boston’s early season form has led them to 6th in the NBA power rankings, nine places above the Nets.
Take a Celtics win & for them to take the first.
