Orlando Magic (2.65) vs Toronto Raptors (1.54)
The Orlando Magic have made a steady start to the season, with a win over the Cavaliers in the opening game and a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. They will be looking to bounce back after dropping points in their last, leaving them with a record of 1-1.
The Magic’s Evan Fournier put in a performance against the Hawks and led the line with a contribution of 23 points. Orlando’s all-star center Nikola Vucevic was able to record a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Toronto Raptors are 2-1 outright and will be keen to continue winning ways after shutting out the Chicago Bulls 108-84.
The man Raptors fans will be looking to this year, the young star Pascal Siakam contributed 19 points and 6 rebounds against the Bulls. Veteran forward Serge Ibaka was effective in attack, as he connected 8 of his 12 field goal attempts and 7 points.
Take Toronto Raptors to put in a performance and win this one.
A close matchup, game to stay under 209.5 (2.10)
Orlando struggled shooting the ball against Atlanta. They connected on 35 of their 99 field goal attempts, giving them a 35.4% accuracy. Things got even worse from behind the three-point line with a 16.1% shooting accuracy.
They currently sit at 26th in the league in scoring offense with 95.6 points per game. They have players on their roster like Evan Fournier, Nikoala Vucevic, Markelle Fultz & D.J. Augustin who can contribute for them.
The Raptors were solid offensively in their last game against the Bulls, as they connected 38 of their 82 field goal attempts, giving them a 46.3% accuracy. But, like their Orlando counterparts, struggled behind the three-point line.
Despite losing Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors have been impressive so far this season.
Expect them to keep Orlando at Bay and game to stay under 209.5.
Steady in the first, Raptors under 28.5 in the first (1.90)
The Raptors young star Pascal Siakam has made a stellar start to the season. He is averaging 28.7PPG and 10.7 RPG.
Thankfully for Toronto, he’s not alone. Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet have combined well in the first three games and have posted a combined 40 PPG. We saw what Lowry can do last season, and VanVleet seems determined to make his mark on this campaign.
Orlando Magic haven’t recorded a score above 100 in their last 6 games, including preseason, so it’s evident that this side don’t have a lot of points on their roster right now. The NBA betting odds are quite tidy on this wager - across all bookies.
Expect the score to go under 28.5 in the first.
Parlay Pick for Magic Fans: Magic to win & under 212.5 (4.50)
The Raptors put in a comprehensive performance against the Bulls, but the fact they’ll be on tired legs, playing their third game in four nights, will have a factor in tonight’s result. Orlando has had two rest days and will look to capitalise on this.
We’ve already discussed Orlando’s offensive woes, but they’re defense has been consistent and robust so far.
Expect the Magic to stay in the game and go toe-to-toe with the defending champions. If they can stay in the game until late on, expect them to take advantage of some weary Toronto legs.
Definitely our NBA free pick of the day. Take Orlando Magic to win and game to go under 212.5 at the Scotiabank Arena.
