Winnipeg all set to take down the BC Lions
After suffering back-to-back losses to Hamilton and Toronto, the Blue Bombers were able to get back on track last week against the Calgary Stampeders, coming away with a narrow 26-24 victory.
This week, they'll take on the Lions, who are in the middle of a miserable 1-7 season. Winnipeg has been set as 11-point favorites, with 1.91 odds of covering the spread.
After close games in their last three weeks, we expect the opposite for Winnipeg in this one. Look for them to dismantle the Lions and cover the spread.
Toronto and Edmonton to square off on Friday night
Another interesting matchup on the schedule is the one between the Eskimos and Argonauts.
While it's been a bit of an up-and-down season for the Argonauts, they stunned the world when they beat Winnipeg a couple weeks back. What do they have in store for Edmonton?
Toronto enters Friday's tilt as 8-point underdogs at home against the Eskimos, with 1.91 odds to cover. While we think Edmonton will come away with a win, the Argonauts should be able to cover the spread.
This one figures to be a close affair, so we'll take Toronto to cover at home.
Ottawa and Hamilton is your Game of the Week
As you've probably noticed by now, we try and pick a Game of the Week for our picks pieces. And for Week 10, get yourself ready for a big-time battle between Ottawa and Hamilton.
The Redblacks will host the Tiger-Cats on Saturday, with the spread set at 2.5 points. Ottawa has 2.22 moneyline odds of winning, while the Tiger-Cats are at 1.68.
While an Ottawa (3-5) upset isn't out of the question, Hamilton is 6-2 on the year and is among the top teams in the league. We'll pick them to win straight up.
Calgary should have no issues against Montreal
When speaking about the best teams in the CFL, there's no doubt you have to bring up the Calgary Stampeders. Having won two of their last three games, they nearly stunned Winnipeg last week.
Now, they'll be ready to bounce back in a home game Saturday against the Alouettes, a game they have 1.38 moneyline odds to win.
Montreal is 3-4, with inconsistencies on both sides of the ball haunting them throughout the year. This will once again be the case for them, as Calgary should be able to get the job done, especially with star quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell expected to make his return from injury.
