NBA Free Picks & Predictions: Toronto Raptors @ Portland Trail Blazers
It’s an Eastern vs Western Conference matchup for our Wednesday night game. We head to the Moda Center, where the Trail Blazers will host the Raptors.
A win here for last seasons’ champions would mean eight wins in nine for the heads-up matchup between these two teams.
Will Portland beat the champs at home?
- 01Toronto Raptors (2.27) vs Portland Trail Blazers (1.65)
- 02Parlay Pick: Raptors to win & to win final period (4.27)
- 03Portland Pick: Portland to win & total over 211.5 (3.25)
Toronto Raptors (2.27) vs Portland Trail Blazers (1.65)
The Raptors missed out to Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers in a low-scoring game in their last. Toronto will also be short-handed in this one, with the Briton OG Anunoby missing out with an eye contusion.
The Raptors have had a strong season so far and sit at 2nd in the East, going 7-3 outright. Pascal Siakam has stepped up to replace Kawhi. He’s not alone in this, with Fred VanVleet and Norman Powell stepping up in his absence.
Portland hasn't had a great start to the season, but have ground out some decent wins, notably a 121-119 victory over the Mavs early on. They sit at 4-7 outright for the season.
The Trail Blazers will turn to Damien Lillard and CJ McCollum tonight for points, who have both enjoyed a fairly productive season so far.
The bookies favour a Portland win, but despite the loss of OG we feel the Raptors will be triumphant here for our NHL free picks of the day.
Take the Raptors to win this one.

Parlay Pick: Raptors to win & to win final period (4.27)
The Raptors are playing well defensively and their offensive output isn’t bad either. They are putting up an average of 112.5 points per game, though they were held to 88 points by the Clippers in the last game.
Toronto’s defense has held opponents to an average of 106.7 points per game, which is ninth in the league overall.
The Trail Blazers, who are 23rd in the NBA power rankings, lost out to the Sacramento Kings in their last matchup, 107-99.
The game doesn’t represent Portlands’ offensive capabilities, as they’ve been averaging 114.1 points per game.
The defensive side of things is what’s been forcing them to concede games this season. They’ve been giving up 114.6 points per game on average, which the Raptors will be licking their lips over.
We feel this one will go right to the wire. Fatigue will be a factor for Toronto who will go into this one playing their 3rd game in four days.
They’ll take time to get going, but as the game goes on, we see Siakam, VanVleet & co. putting points up.
Take Raptors to win & take the final period.

Portland Pick: Portland to win & total over 211.5 (3.25)
The NBA betting odds favoured a homeside win in this one, but we think people continually underestimate the Raptors. However, we felt we’d offer a pick for the Portland fans and those who like a favourite wager.
Portland fans should look forward to this game and relish the opportunity to go to a team who will be running on tired legs.
The Blazers’ Damien Lillard will look to lead the team in scoring, after putting on 27 points, 4 rebounds and five assists in their last.
He’ll be joined by McCollum and Whiteside, who will be looking to add to their points tally for the season.
With fatigue setting in for the Raptors and a leaky defense for Portland, we can see this one turning into a high-scoring game.
Take the Trail Blazers to win & game to go over 211.5.
