NBA Free Picks & Predictions: Los Angeles Lakers @ Phoenix Suns
We’re in Phoenix at the Talking Stick Resort Arena for a Western Conference tussle between a much improved Suns side and LeBron’s Lakers.
The Lakers lost out to the Clippers in game one, but hadn’t looked back going on a 7 game winning streak before losing out to the Raptors in their last 104-113.
Can the Suns cause an upset at home?

Los Angeles Lakers (1.52) vs Phoenix Suns (2.65)
The Suns have made an excellent start to the campaign, despite losing last seasons’ number 1 draft in DeAndre Ayton to a 25-game suspension.
We feel this game is going to be a tough contest for both sides and we were shocked to see how heavily the bookies favoured the visitors for our NBA free pick of the day.
A win over the Brooklyn Nets over the weekend has given them the momentum they’ll need to overcome this Lakers side. Phoenixs’ success in the early stage of the season has put them at joint third place in the West standings and an overall of 6-3.
Top of the NBA power rankings, the Lakers are 7-2 outright for this campaign. There are many positives to take from the early stage of the season for the Lakers, namely the partnership forming between LeBron and Davis.
The Lakers offensive power and physicality will likely be too much for the Suns in this one. Though the Suns have won 5 in their last seven, so the Lakers will have to bring their A-game.
Take the Lakers to win in Phoenix.

Parlay Pick: LA Lakers to win & game over 217.5 (3.52)
The Lakers managed to overcome a strong Raptors side full of belief and with the ability to match it. But the Raptors were without key players in Kyle Lowry and the veteran Serge Ibaka.
Lakers starman Anthony Davis scored 27 points and had an excellent overall game. He may, however, miss out on this one due to a recurring shoulder injury. On the bright side, Kyle Kuzma managed to come out of his shell and bag 15 points.
It’s been all about Devin Booker for the Suns, who managed 27 points against Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets. He was joined by Ricky Rubio, who got 22 points and 12 assists. Aron Baynes, who’s had a good season, also grabbed 14 points.
With a strong offense on both sides, we can see this one turning into a high-scoring affair. Also, the NBA betting odds are pretty favourable on this wager.
Take the Lakers to win & game to go over 217.5.
Player Pick: LeBron James to score over 24.5 (3.35)
LeBron’s points per game are actually low by his standards, but he has played without Anthony Davis on occasion and we think that’s a real detriment to his scoring capability.
He’s averaging 24.6 points per game and has a field goal percentage of 47.3%. The size and physicality of the Lakers team is what will carry them to victory tonight, but they have much more to their game this season.
LeBron is linking up well with Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook, but Kyle Kuzma who feels like the missing piece of the puzzle for the Lakers. If they could get him back to any kind of form, they’d be much better off over the course of the season.
LeBron only managed 13 points against the Raptors and will want to improve on that in this one. Also, the Suns are a different animal to last seasons’ champions, James will have more freedom to express himself.
Expect LeBron to score over 24.5 points.
