Our PGA Championship picks for 2026 focus on a mix of elite favourites and high‑upside value plays as the best shot‑makers in the world descend on a demanding major setup. Back Scottie Scheffler if you want the highest‑probability winner with the shortest odds thanks to his elite strokes‑gained profile, but don’t overlook bombers and approach‑shot specialists like Ludvig Aberg as underdogs.
PGA Championship picks
Ludvig Aberg to win outright: +1800
Aberg to win outright
Aberg has been right on the doorstep of a victory in five of his last six events, and it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through.
Coming off a T8 finish at the Truist Championship, Aberg finished in the top five in four of five events leading up to Quail Hollow last week.
Aberg’s exceptional driving distance and accuracy put him in a good position to contend this week, and as one of the better ball strikers on Tour, he should be able to rack up a considerable amount of birdies if his putter is average or slightly above average.
He also ranks third on Tour in Total Strokes Gained, second in Total Driving, and third in birdie percentage.
At +1800 to win outright, Aberg holds tremendous value in this loaded field. However, if you’re looking for a more modest wager, backing Aberg at +180 to finish in the top 10 is a shrewd play.
PGA Championship favourite
Whenever Scottie Scheffler is in the field, he’s the favourite.
The World No. 1 is the reigning champion of this event from a year ago at Quail Hollow and a very deserving favourite in the field this week given his incredible recent form, which includes three consecutive second-place finishes.
After a relatively slow start to the season by his standards, Scheffler has been dialed in since finishing second at the Masters in April. He recently welcomed his second child, Remy, on March 27, so his slow start was understandable given the challenges he was facing away from the golf course leading up to the birth.
Scheffler ranks first on Tour in Total Strokes Gained and first in Greens In Regulation percentage.

Top Canadians in the field
Corey Conners (+15000): It’s been a tough season for Conners, who still hasn’t cracked a top-10 result yet after 11 events. He’s coming off a T31 result at the Truist Championship and likely won’t be in contention this week.
Nick Taylor (+15000): Taylor shares the shortest outright odds with Conners out of the Canadian contingent this week, and he’s playing quite well right now after finishing T14 at the Truist Championship and T9 at the Cadillac Championship.
Sudarshan Yellamaraju (+17500): The 24-year-old is having a dream rookie season with a pair of top-10 finishes while making the cut in 10 of his last 11 events. He’s coming off a T19 result at the Truist Championship.
Taylor Pendrith (+22500): It’s been a tough season for Pendrith aside from a T6 finish in the season opener in Hawaii. He’s missed the cut in three of his last six events and is coming off a T37 result at the Truist Championship.
