Methodology

How the analysis was built

Canada Sports Betting analyzed Toronto-area accommodation search results from Airbnb and Booking.com across three one-night weekend windows surrounding BTS’s Aug. 22–23, 2026 Toronto shows.

  1. The comparison covers Aug. 15–16, Aug. 22–23 and Aug. 29–30.
  2. Only listings with a usable price were included in price calculations.
  3. Prices were normalized into USD in the supplied dataset.
  4. Platform-specific averages were calculated separately; the overall figure pools all valid priced results.
  5. The analysis describes prices visible in the captured search results and does not claim every property changed its price specifically because of BTS.
