2026 Truist Championship Betting Preview, Odds, and Best Bets

Rory McIlroy greets Cameron Young before teeing off on the first hole during the final round of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

The Truist Championship betting board is headlined by Rory McIlroy, but the best value may lie a little further down the odds board with Xander Schauffele and Justin Rose at Quail Hollow. With the tournament returning to a course that consistently rewards elite ball-striking and strong course history, this preview breaks down the top outright picks, Canadian contenders, and the best golf odds that offer the best mix of form and value.

Truist Championship best bets

Xander Schauffele to win outright: +900

Schauffele is still searching for his first win of the season, but he appears poised for a breakthrough this week at Quail Hollow.

The 32-year-old finished as the runner-up at both the 2023 and 2024 Wells Fargo Championships at this course, and he turned in a T11 result last year with four sub-70 rounds.

Schauffele, who ranks seventh on Tour in Total Strokes Gained, is also in exceptional form right now, posting inside the top 12 in four straight events, including a pair of top fives.

His last victory was the Baycurrent Classic in Japan back in October of 2025, so you can bet he’s salivating at the thought of returning to the winner’s circle this week.

Justin Rose to win outright: +5500

We’re going to roll with Rose as our long-shot pick this week at +5500 odds.

Although he’s struggled the last two years at this event, the PGA Tour veteran posted three consecutive top-five finishes at this venue the previous three times he played the event back in 2014, 2016, and 2019.

The 45-year-old had a disappointing T65 finish at last week’s Cadillac Championship, but he was outstanding at the Masters prior to that, ultimately finishing T3 at the major with a real chance to win it on Sunday.

Rose already has a win on Tour this season, claiming the Farmers Insurance Open back in February, and he also had an impressive T13 finish at the Players Championship, also known as the fifth major.

The Englishman ranks third on tour in greens in regulation percentage (71.9%), and if his putter gets hot, as it’s been known to do, he poses a real threat at long 55-1 odds this week.

Truist Championship betting favourite

As the tournament’s only four-time champion, Rory McIlroy is the favourite (around +600 odds depending on the online sportsbook) this week without World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in the field.

Rory won at Quail Hollow in 2010, 2015, 2021, and 2024, and it was also the site of his first PGA Tour win, so the course holds sentimental value to the Irishman.

This will be McIlroy’s first tournament since winning the Masters for a second time in early April, so there are concerns about potential rust or his level of focus after winning the major.

Regardless, he’s a deserving favourite this week, but probably isn’t too enticing to back at short +600 odds.

Truist Championship top Canadians in the field

Corey Conners (+7000): Conners has yet to post a top 10 this season and is off to a disappointing start to the season by his standards. He finished T30 last week at the Cadillac Championship, but he does boast a trio of respectable finishes at the Truist Championship, placing in the top 15 in each of the past three years.

Nick Taylor (+10000): Taylor brings some momentum into this event after his T9 finish last week at the Cadillac, his first top-10 result of the season. He posted a respectable T17 at this event last year with a trio of sub-70 rounds.

Taylor Pendrith (+11000): Pendrith had missed the cut in three of his last four events before posting a T38 last week at Trump National Doral. Things haven’t gone according to plan for the Ontario native since opening the season with a T6 result at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Sudarshan Yellamaraju (+11000): No Canadian is having a better season than Yellamaraju, who has posted a pair of top 10s and and five top 15s on Tour this year. He ranks 16th in Total Strokes Gained and 11th in Total Driving in 2026.

Mackenzie Hughes (+27500): Hughes has missed the cut in four of his last five events, with his best finish (T23) this season coming at the Cognizant Classic in February. He’s an extreme long shot this week at the Truist Championship.
