Zay Flowers’ 608 receiving yards on 40 catches through six regular-season games give us reason to lean over 82.5 receiving yards as our Ravens vs. Bills prediction for Sunday, Nov. 1. The NFL Week 8 matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. This is a qualified full-game prop pick, not a bet that the teams will trade touchdowns all afternoon.
Lamar Jackson’s questionable ankle designation is the biggest complication, although he is expected to play. Flowers has delivered substantial yardage alongside Jackson this season, but Baltimore’s quarterback situation remains unsettled as the 4–3 Ravens face the 5–1 Bills.

Predictions
- Zay Flowers over 82.5 receiving yards: Flowers’ production alongside Jackson is the strongest reason to back this full-game over. He recorded 150 yards at Indianapolis on Sept. 13, 84 at Dallas on Sept. 27 and 118 against Tennessee on Oct. 4, totalling 352 yards across those three regular-season games in which both players contributed offensively. All three cleared this threshold. Flowers also caught seven of nine targets for 143 yards against Buffalo on Sept. 7, 2025, giving the pick some relevant matchup history without making a repeat automatic. His last six receiving totals, most recent first, are 137, 66, 53, 118, 84 and 150 yards: hitting the over four times, but with two misses that were not particularly close. Jackson’s uncertain availability tempers the shared-game case, although Flowers’ most recent 137-yard performance came with Tyler Huntley throwing for 298 yards against Cincinnati. We lean over at 82.5 rather than chasing a higher threshold or paying substantially more juice. Flowers needs 83 yards to cash, and neither his recent production nor the previous Buffalo meeting makes that a comfortable weekly floor.

About the Ravens (4–3 SU, 2-5 ATS, 4-3 o/u)
Baltimore has dropped consecutive games, most recently a 35–13 home loss to Cincinnati on Oct. 25. The Ravens led 13–0 at halftime before allowing touchdowns on five consecutive second-half possessions. Building a lead was not the problem; sustaining anything close to that first-half performance was.
The running game offered little help. Baltimore managed 83 rushing yards, including 45 from Derrick Henry, while Huntley passed for 298 yards. Henry has 579 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns through seven regular-season games, but the Ravens need more consistent movement on the ground to keep their offence from leaning entirely on the passing game.
Ronnie Stanley welcomed the possibility of Jackson playing while stressing that the rest of the team has work to do. “It’s going to be a big boost [if he plays],” Stanley said. “Lamar is the best player in the NFL. We all know how good of a player he is, but we also don’t want to rely on him having to carry us as a team.”
About the Bills (5–1 SU, 4-2 ATS, 5-1 o/u)
Buffalo’s most recent outing was a 33–30 road win over Las Vegas on Oct. 18. Josh Allen passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns, while James Cook supplied 95 rushing yards, a rushing score and three catches for 58 yards. That ability to contribute in both phases gives Cook a way to stay involved even when conventional handoffs are not enough.
Through six regular-season games, Allen has 1,504 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns and four interceptions, plus 240 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. Cook has 627 rushing yards and six rushing scores. Buffalo has enough ways to finish drives without asking Allen to produce every touchdown through the air.
The defence has made those offensive contributions necessary. The Bills allowed 20 fourth-quarter points against the Rams and 10 against the Raiders in their two most recent games. Defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard has emphasized execution, cleaner communication and fewer penalties ahead of Baltimore’s visit.
Buffalo’s opponents have recorded 1,715 passing yards on 242 attempts across six regular-season games. Flowers presents a receiving threat, while Henry gives the Bills a separate assignment on the ground. For the over, the appeal is that Buffalo must account for both; the risk is that cleaner defensive possessions leave Baltimore with fewer sustained drives and Flowers short of the required yardage.
Key Injuries
Jackson is questionable with an ankle injury, and Baltimore tight end Durham Smythe is out with an Achilles injury. Kyle Hamilton and Roquan Smith were limited Thursday with knee injuries, while Jaylinn Hawkins did not practise because of a knee injury.
Buffalo receiver DJ Moore is questionable with a shoulder injury and was limited Thursday. Spencer Brown missed practice with a back injury, Dee Alford with an ankle injury and Ray Davis because of illness.
Ed Oliver participated fully with a knee injury, as did T.J. Sanders with a shoulder injury. Dalton Kincaid was limited with a chest injury, Bradley Chubb with chest and thumb injuries, and Tyrell Shavers with a knee injury after his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday. Those practice designations do not settle their availability for Sunday.
Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson is serving a one-game suspension. Finger Lakes1 reported that Damar Hamlin is expected to step in alongside Cole Bishop.
Weather
The kickoff forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, a temperature around 17°C, winds near 8 km/h and a 0% chance of precipitation. There is no compelling weather reason to adjust the receiving-yard lean or the game total.
Betting Trends
- Buffalo’s last three games produced combined scores of 63, 71 and 55, all above the current 54-point total.
- Baltimore’s last three combined scores were 48, 23 and 53, all below that number. These opposing three-game patterns are limited totals context, not records against the closing line or a reason to force a total bet.
- The Ravens are 3–1 in four away regular-season games this season. Their recent losses do not amount to a season-long road problem.
Player prop trends
- After a strong start to the season, Ravens running back Derrick Henry has rushed for 73 yards or fewer in three of his last four games. He’s -125 to rush for under 78.5 yards on Sunday.
- Ravens running back Justice Hill has caught two or more passes in four straight games and is -150 to haul in over 1.5 receptions out of the backfield.
- Bills running back James Cook has scored a touchdown in five straight games and is -160 to extend that streak.
- Bills receiver Keon Coleman has a TD reception in three straight contests and is +310 to score.
