English Premier League Free Picks: Liverpool vs Manchester City
The fixture we’ve all been waiting for, this is set to be the most pivotal game in the English top-flight this year.
Both teams have been firing on all cylinders this season and are somewhat fortunate to have accumulated their current points total.
A season full of controversy, notably the implementation of VAR which has been anything but smooth.
Will City close the gap on the Scousers?

Manchester City (2.45) vs Liverpool (2.60)
A game which could define the season. Liverpool are unbeaten so far, with just one draw against Manchester United.
They’re form has been almost replicated by last season’s champions, except for a few slip-ups along the way. Most recently against Wolves at home, where City lost 2-0 in an unprecedented result.
We were shocked to see the soccer betting odds so favourable for the away side. But one must assume it’s down to the way City play and the fact they have Guardiola at the helm.
Take City to win away from home.
City to win away, Manchester City to win & both teams to score (3.95)
Liverpool have proven to be rock solid in defense under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.
Allison had 21 clean sheets last season, and with Matip and Van Dijk just in front of him, it’s tough for any team in the world to world to penetrate that defense.
The same certainly can’t be said about the City defense, who are still without their key Frenchman Aymeric Laporte. But Otamendi has come back in and has shown he can do a job there.
However, it’s the offensive power of both teams which pushed is to make this soccer free pick. The likes of Aguero, Sterling and Silva for City, up against Sane, Salah and Firmino - and that’s just naming the front three.
There will be goals in this one, no doubt about it.
Take City to win & both teams to score.

Goals galore, both teams to score & over 3.5 (5.6)
This game has us excited already, knowing the way both teams will setup will make for an awe-inspiring spectacle.
The pace on the wings for both sides and the overall quality in attack, will mean this one is guaranteed goals. City have the edge over Liverpool in midfield, but Klopp’s men are playing better this season.
This could be the turning point for City. A win here and they trail Liverpool by just three points, if they lose it’s a long way back to win the league.
We’ve been thinking about an outright score and for us it feels like it’ll go 3-2 to City. But, the way Manchester City have played this season, they can be a little unpredictable. What we are certain about is goals this Sunday.
Take both teams to score & over 3.5 goals.
Sterling to continue firing, Raheem Sterling anytime scorer (2.60)
Raheem Sterling has come on leaps and bounds since making the move from Liverpool to Manchester.
Working under Pep Guardiola has helped him more than he could have ever imagined. His touch, passing and decision making were always the biggest concerns when he was on Merseyside.
But, Pep has turned him into one of the best players in the league and arguably the most important player in an England shirt right now.
His decision-making in the final third has improved a lot too, and will have attributed to Man City scoring 95 goals in the 2018/19 campaign.
It’s a monumental game and Raheem has begun to shine through more and more on the big occasion.
Take Raheem to score at Anfield.
