Masters betting heats up as the 2026 Masters field tees off at Augusta National this week, with Scottie Scheffler leading the odds at +550 and Canadians Corey Conners (+6000) and Nick Taylor (+20000) in contention. While the favourites dominate the headlines, Ludvig Aberg at +1400 offers outstanding value for sharp bettors looking to capitalize on this year’s Green Jacket market.

Ludvig Aberg to win the Masters: +1400
Aberg to win the Masters
It’s difficult to overlook Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau at Augusta, but the value betting play lies with Ludvig Aberg this week at the Masters.
He’s in fine form entering this tournament, posting inside the top five in each of his last three events, including a T5 at last week’s Valero Texas Open. Additionally, his game sets up very well for Augusta, with the Swede posting a second- and seventh-place finish at the venue over the past two seasons.
Aberg’s advanced metrics are incredibly well-balanced across the board, with the 26-year-old ranking 10th in Strokes Gained: Total and 14th in putting average this season on the PGA Tour.
If you’re looking for a mid-range play at Augusta, he’s the best pick on the board.
Masters betting trends
- Nine of the past 10 winners were between the ages of 27 and 36.
- 10 of the past 10 winners have been in the top 25 of the World Golf Rankings.
- Nine of the past 10 Masters champions had at least three starts at Augusta before winning.
Masters betting favourite
It’s not a surprise that Scottie Scheffler, a two-time winner at Augusta, is the Masters betting favourite at around +550 odds depending on the online sportsbook. However, some external factors are certainly in play after Scheffler and his wife welcomed a new baby boy, Remy, into the world less than two weeks ago.
Scheffler struggled by his elite standards in his last two events leading up to the birth, posting a T22 and T24 result at The Players Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational, respectively. He does have one win on the season (American Express in January), but he certainly has struggled overall in 2026.
With the relief of the new baby being born, Scheffler will undoubtedly be refocused just in time for the Masters, a tournament he has finished inside of the top 10 in each of the past four years with two victories.

Masters weather forecast
The weather forecasts for Thursday through Sunday look pretty close to ideal for Augusta, Georgia, with sunny and hot conditions expected throughout the week. Winds are currently projected to be quite light throughout the four days of competition as of Monday morning, which should lead to firm and fast conditions when combined with the expected dry weather at the historic golf venue.

Masters Canadians in the field
Corey Conners (+6000 to win): Conners will be making his ninth Masters start in 2026 and has the shortest outright odds of any Canadian in the field. He’s played well historically at Augusta, posting four top-10 finishes in the past six years. His best Masters finish was a T6 in 2022. At 60-1 odds, he’s an excellent dark horse pick to win the Masters.
Nick Taylor (+20000 to win): Taylor will be making his fourth Masters start this year. The 37-year-old’s best finish at the Masters was a T29 in 2020, and he owns a career scoring average of 73.40 at Augusta. He’s made the cut twice in three starts at this historic golf venue.
Mike Weir (+300000 to win): Weir, the 2003 Masters champion, will be making his 27th career start at Augusta. He’s an extreme long shot at the age of 55, missing the cut at this tournament in 10 of the past 11 years.
