2019-20 College Football Playoff Free Picks and Predictions
In what proved to be one of the most dramatic college football seasons in recent years, only four teams remain in the hunt to win the national championship. That's right, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma are all ready to try and stand at the top alone.
However, before we get to the final, the College Football Playoff semifinals will be played later this month. No. 1 LSU will take on No. 4 Oklahoma, while No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Clemson will be ready to go to war. While on paper LSU may be the best team, don't rule out any of the teams still in the hunt.
Clemson and Dabo Swinney won the national championship last year and know what it takes to get the job done with the odds stacked against them. Oddsmakers figured Alabama would cruise to the title last year over Clemson, but as we all know, that didn't happen.
So, what does this CFP have in store for us?

If you thought LSU vs. Oklahoma was going to be good, just wait until later in the day when Justin Fields and the Ohio State Buckeyes will take on Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers.
Fields and Lawrence are two of the best quarterbacks in the country, with their offenses giving opposing defenses nightmares each week. For the Buckeyes, they've also got a premier running back in JK Dobbins and arguably the best player in all of college football in pass-rusher Chase Young.
Young is in the Heisman Trophy conversation despite being a defensive player. That tells you just how incredible he has been this fall.
Clemson, the defending national champs, enter this one as two-point favorites. However, we think OSU will get the job done and take on LSU for all the marbles.

Who will be crowned the National Champion in early January?
As you read above, we're predicting a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown in the National Championship Game this season, with LSU and Ohio State meeting in the title showdown on Jan. 13 at the Superdome in New Orleans. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter where this game is played; we're all in on LSU.
The Tigers were the best team in the country throughout the year and dominated their opponents each weekend. Ohio State is no question an elite program, with superstar players. However, what Ed Orgeron and Co. have been able to accomplish this year can't be forgotten.
They've just got the feel of champions, with players on both sides of the ball buying in to Coach O and his staff's plan from the start. LSU the 2019-20 national champs? You better believe it.
