Bellator 232 - Rory MacDonald vs Douglas Lima II

Bellator: MacDonald vs Lima II will be 2019's hottest rematch as welterweight stars and pound-for-pound greats MacDonald and Lima go at again for five rounds.

MacDonald (2.55) took home a narrow decision victory last time they met, but Lima (1.53) is favoured this time around.

When they last fought, MacDonald used his wrestling to win the fifth and final round. But he looked much worse than Lima did. Since then, MacDonald hasn't looked as primal and has even contemplated retirement.

On the flipside, Lima finished Andrey Koreshkov again and became the first man to beat and knock out Michael "Venom" Page.

If momentum indicates anything, Lima should beat MacDonald. He came close the first time and he'll finish the job this time. Don't expect a decision. Lima should knock MacDonald out within four rounds.

Bellator 232 - Paul Daley vs Sabah Homasi

Daley vs Homasi is a banger of a co-main event. We get two of the division's premier brawlers who both have a penchant for the knockout. Daley is by far more skilled and experienced.

He should be a significant favourite here. Although Homasi can pull a "Rocky" with the power in his fists.

Daley has more knockouts (30) than Homasi has fights (21). He has also faced upper-tier competition in both the UFC and Bellator. He rarely loses against fellow strikers unless they are championship caliber.

Homasi exited the UFC with a brutal 0-3 record, being knocked out each time. Still, Homasi rebounded with two consecutive wins including a 17-second KO in his Bellator debut.

As much as Homasi can crack, he is no match for Daley in this spot although he'll have the proverbial "puncher's chance". Bank on Daley to make quick work of him within two rounds.

Bellator 232 - Vitaly Minakov vs Javy Ayala

Former Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov gets to duke it out with big boy Javy Ayala. Minakov returned to Bellator earlier this year and suffered his first loss in a rematch with Cheick Kongo. Other than this, he's finished 20 of his 22 opponents.

Ayala is a journeyman who has a 6-4 Bellator record but has knocked out the likes of Sergei Kharitonov and Frank Mir. With a "kill or be killed" mentality, his fights usually end in a finish.

Minakov should be heavily favoured here. Barring a flash knockout from Ayala, not entirely impossible, Minakov should take him to school. Expect the Russian to capitalize on the reckless Ayala and finish him within a round.

Bellator 232 - Nick Newell vs Manny Muro

Bellator is the perfect home for Nick Newell, who is getting a showcase fight against Manny Muro. Newell, came out of retirement in 2018 and won three of his four fights (all via submission). Muro, on the other hand, has lost three of his last four.

There is no disguising what this fight is: a squash fight for Newell. The one-armed sensation won 11 of his 16 victories via submission. He has a strong wrestling background and will usually defeat fighters who are prone to grappling.

As for Manny Muro, there's not much to say about him. He's only fought low-level competition and doesn't excel at any category. Newell should submit him fairly easily.
