While there are some holes in Jack Roslovic’s game to be sure, he is a proven goal-scorer capable of playing in a top-six role as a complementary piece. Roslovic’s ability to skate higher up the lineup card made him a natural fit for the Edmonton Oilers, who were banking on at least one of Matthew Savoie or Ike Howard panning out in the middle-nine forward group entering the season.

After a late start to the year it took Roslovic a little time to get his legs, but he’s looked better over the last four games while producing two goals and two assists.

Roslovic skated alongside Vasily Podkolzin and Leon Draisaitl on the Oilers’ second line Saturday, and was also on the Oilers’ top power-play unit.

Roslovic is a proven scorer at the NHL level, having hit the 20-goal plateau twice throughout his 10-year career, including 22 goals last season with the Carolina Hurricanes while often playing in lesser roles than he currently is being offered by coach Kris Knoblauch.

The St. Louis Blues have allowed 4.42 goals against per game during their current seven-game losing skid. Their underlying defensive results are quite solid, but even still, this is at worst an average matchup for Roslovic to tally what would be his third goal in five games.

Best Bet-Andre Burakovsky over 0.5 points: +110 (bet365)

Burakovsky enters this matchup with his former side in great form offensively, having put up five points over the last three games. Connor Bedard has looked like the offensive dynamo he was expected to be when the Chicago Blackhawks drafted him first overall, and Burakovsky has complemented him well on the team’s top line and top power-play unit.

The Kraken are a low-event team and their greatest weakness has been a lack of offensive upside, but they have allowed 3.10 xGA/60 over the last six games, which suggests this is a decent matchup for Burakovsky.

Burakovsky has put up at least one point in six of the Blackhawks’ 11 games this season, and should remain comparably productive given his current usage. That suggests that we aren’t necessarily banking on the idea that he might have a little extra juice in tonight’s matchup versus the organization that traded him away last offseason in order to believe there is value at a price of +110.
