Atlanta Falcons -3 on Bet99
The Falcons (4-5, 6-3 ATS) come into this game on a short week, having lost a tightly contested game against the Chargers last Sunday. Atlanta never really found a groove against LA but still maintain a track record of close games. Tyler Allgeier led the offence with 99 rushing yards, while Cordarrelle Patterson provided both of the Falcons’ scores as their primary red zone back. The passing game is what really let Atlanta down, as QB Marcus Mariota was only able to complete 12 passes for 129 yards.
The Falcons will be familiar with their Thursday Night Football foes this week, as they were victorious against Carolina in Week 8 (37-34). Atlanta leads the all-time series 35-20-0.
Carolina Panthers +3 on Bet99
The Panthers (2-7, 3-6 ATS) looked a little hopeless in Week 9 as they were doubled up on by the Bengals (42-21). In their second game of the post Christian McCaffery era, Carolina lacked punch and managed 228 yards of total offence. Questions remain at QB, as Baker Mayfield produced another inconsistent effort, completing 14 of 20 passes for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns. The ground game is particularly inept without McCaffery, managing to accumulate a mere 64 total yards and no scores.
The Panthers will be in tough in their tilt with Atlanta. They played them tight in Week 8 but got exceptional performances from unlikely spots, such as 317 yards passing from journeyman QB Phillip Walker and a 3 touchdown night from RB D’Onta Foreman.
