For now, things the card has been announced that the fighters will be preparing for the weigh-ins coming up. We have focused on three of the most exciting fights at UFC 256 and our UFC experts will break those down for you below!

UFC 256: Main Fights

  • Deiveson Figueiredo (20-1-0) vs Brandon Moreno (18-5-1)
  • Tony Ferguson (25-4-0) vs Charles Oliveira(29-8-1)
  • Marvin Vettori (15-4-1) vs Ronaldo Souza (26-8-1)
  • Cub Swanson (26-11-0) vs Daniel Pineda (27-13-2)
  • Li Jingliang (17-6-0) vs Dwight Grant (10-3-0)
  • Renato Moicano (14-3-1) vs Rafael Fiziev (8-1-0)

Deiveson Figueiredo (1.30) vs Brandon Moreno (3.50)

Figueiredo has been enjoying the best period of his professional fighting career since the summer of 2019, racking up 5 wins, claiming and retaining the Flyweight title during that time.

He faced Alex Perez in his last title defence, at UFC 255, and ended the fight via Guillotine Choke within 2 minutes of the fight starts. He’s the favourite in the eyes of the oddsmakers posting UFC betting odds at the majority of top sportsbooks.

Brandon Moreno is no pushover. He’s enjoyed a similar streak since the summer of 2019, picking up 4 wins and a draw during that period. He’s not been doing as emphatically as his opponent, but he did manage a first-round finish against a promising fighter in Brandon Royval in his last bout.

Take Figueiredo to still be the UFC champion.

Tony Ferguson (1.61) vs Charles Oliveira (2.30)

The fight many people thought would have been one for the ages, was Ferguson against Nurmagomedov. But, it wasn’t to be. Ferguson lost out and Khabib retired after a comprehensive victory over Gaethje. Either way, El Cucuy is back and is the favourite to win against Oliveira at the majority of top UFC betting sites.

Ferguson’s unique and unpredictable fighting style, coupled with his colourful character makes him a popular character among some fans. Expect to see a rejuvenated fighter, as he has a point to prove and is very capable of doing that against the Brazilian.

Oliveira is in the prime of his career. He hasn’t lost a fight since June 2018 and has picked up 7 wins during that time. He has a great range of striking and is able to fight on the ground as well as Ferguson. We expect an upset here.

Pick Oliveira to win.

Li Jingliang (1.44) vs Dwight Grant (2.75)

Finally, we have the welterweight Li Jingliang, who comes into this fight after a defeat to Neil Magny at UFC 248. He lost the fight by unanimous decision. The Chinese fighter has shown to be a force and will fancy himself to bounce back here.

UFC is yet to release how the card will be set up, so we don’t know when this fight will take place on the night. Bettors can check our UFC events schedule for the latest updates on fights.

Dwight Grant is 10-3 and at 36 is moving towards the latter stages of his career. He lost via TKO in his last fight against Daniel Rodriguez, in the first round. If Jingliang fights at his own pace this will likely be a one-sided affair.

Expect a confident win from Jingliang.
