Most Important Game on the Schedule: After their five-year streak as division champions came to an end in 2025, look for the Bills to reassert their dominance over the Patriots in their Week 4 meeting at the brand-new Highmark Stadium. After splitting the regular-season series against the Patriots in 2025, the Bills finished below their rivals, with two fewer wins overall. With the Bills desperate to finally break through in the AFC, look for them to take this game personally and leave a lasting impression on the AFC as they are out to prove they’re the team to beat not only in the AFC East, but the conference as a whole.
Prop to Watch: Set for yet another MVP-caliber season, bank on Bills quarterback Josh Allen to pile up scoring drives in 2026, finishing with over 24.5 passing touchdowns in the year. Having reached this milestone in six straight seasons, there have been no indications of Allen slowing down his output this year. Sporting one of the best arms the NFL has ever seen, as well as elite mobility out of the pocket, look for Allen to string together a plethora of highlight-reel plays, letting the pigskin fly, and connecting with his receiving corps for Over 24.5 passing touchdowns this season.
Potential Breakout Player: Coming off a solid rookie campaign that saw him miss time during both the regular season and postseason due to injury, expect a big bounce-back campaign for cornerback Maxwell Hairston in 2026. Having racked up two interceptions as well as five passes defended over 11 games, Hairston will be looked at to fill a pivotal role for his squad as he’ll be tasked with taking on the AFC’s top wideouts throughout the year. Possessing a nose for the football and breakneck speed, look for 2026 to become a coming-out party for Hairston.
Betting Projection: Rightfully slotted as one of the top teams in the AFC by oddsmakers, keep the Bills on your shortlist of Super Bowl contenders in 2026. With improvements at key positions on both sides of the ball, this team is better than its 12-win version from 2025. With Josh Allen primed to continue his elite quarterback play, along with a stellar defence with big-play potential, bank on the Bills to win the AFC East, finishing with Over 10.5 wins, and making a deep run in the AFC Playoffs in 2026.

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Looking to redeem themselves after a demoralizing defeat on the biggest stage, the New England Patriots will have the opportunity to avenge their Super Bowl loss from last season out of the gate this year as they take on the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 NFL season opener. Set for a wild atmosphere at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, the Patriots will be out for blood as they look to prove that they’re the superior football team and use this as a momentum booster to help propel them back into playoff contention this season.
Prop to Watch: Swinging for the fences and making a blockbuster deal this offseason, the Patriots went out and got franchise quarterback Drake Maye his new go-to weapon by acquiring three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles. After spending multiple seasons disgruntled and unsatisfied with his overall targets, Brown will rejoice as a member of the Patriots, as he’ll have one of the top young pocket passers delivering him balls routinely in each game played this season. Set for a career-best season, bank on Brown to eclipse 1124.5 receiving yards, a mark he’s surpassed twice in his career, and notch yourself a juicy plus-money payday.
Potential Breakout Player: After nearly reaching 1,000 rushing yards in his rookie season, expect an explosive output from running back TreVeyon Henderson as he takes command over the Patriots backfield in 2026. Competing for snaps with veteran back Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson has already shown more growth and maturity as a ball carrier in a short period of time. With Stevenson continuing to be afflicted by acute “fumble-itis”, his butter-soaked fingers simply are too big a risk to rely on this season. Coming off a rookie campaign in which he only fumbled once across 180 carries, bank on Henderson to have a sensational regular season campaign, breaking out as a star at the tailback position.
Betting Projection: The Pats success in 2025 came as a shock to many NFL pundits, and I don’t expect to see them completely replicate it in 2026. While there’s no arguing that this year’s team has gotten better, the competition has, too. Look for the Patriots to hover around the Wild Card bubble throughout the season, fighting tooth and nail to punch their ticket back into the NFL Playoffs, where they should be considered a dark horse contender to make some noise in the postseason.

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Out to prove that they’re no longer the worst team in the AFC East, the biggest game of the Jets season will come in Week 7 as they take on the Dolphins from MetLife Stadium. Having finished at the bottom of the division seven times over the past decade, there’s been little to nothing for the Jets to celebrate in recent history. Looking to prove to their faithful fanbase that they’re tracking in the right direction, look for them to leave it all on the field in a divisional tilt as they aim to prove that they’re no longer the punching bag of the AFC East.
Prop to Watch: A lone bright spot on a downright weak offence, bank on running back Breece Hall to tally Over 899.5 rushing yards in 2026. While the Jets offensive line still leaves much to be desired, they’re solid enough to at least provide a few inches of space in the running game, just enough for Hall to use his explosive rushing ability to produce big chunk plays this season. Coming off a career-high in rushing yards in 2025, look for Hall to post his second-straight 1,000-yard rushing season, cashing in for a plus money payday, and providing a glimmer of hope for the Jets future.
Potential Breakout Player: While he certainly didn’t produce “video game numbers” in 2025, look for a major uptick in production from second-year tight end Mason Taylor as he has a breakout season with the Jets. Having shown flashes of great potential, Taylor uses his size effectively both as a blocker and a receiver. In 16 appearances for the Jets, Taylor was reliable when called upon, hauling in 67.6% of targets, with many of these opportunities coming from wayward balls and contested catches through shaky quarterback play. With an adult in the room with Geno Smith returning to NYC, look for Taylor to have a superb statistical season for the Jets in 2026.
Betting Projection: Once again, the J-E-T-S are T-R-A-S-H. Set to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, the Jets front office did little to build toward the future this offseason. Bringing in over-the-hill stars such as Geno Smith and Demario Davis as their big free-agency swings, not only does the Jets lineup still have several holes at key positions, but these upgrades are like lipstick on a pig, as they won’t help build toward a winning culture, since both men are likely to retire in the near future. Expect the Jets to get steamrolled by the opposition this year, finishing with a losing record for the 11th-consecutive season.

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Wanting to show that they can at least compete with some of the top dogs in the AFC, look for the most important game on the schedule for the Dolphins to come in Week 3 as they host the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium. Having built their identity over the past few seasons on high-octane offence and big plays, the Phins will attempt to go punch-for-punch with a dangerous Chiefs offence, hoping to prove early on this season that they still need to be treated as legitimate competition, even during a rebuilding year.
Prop to Watch: One of the most dynamic running back talents across the NFL, expect to see the bulk of offensive scores come from De’Von Achane for the Dolphins this season. Having finished with Over 5.5 rushing touchdowns in all three of his seasons as a pro, expect this trend to continue as Achane uses his elite speed to hit the line of scrimmage hard and fly past defenders en route to the end zone. With the passing attack of the Dolphins looking sketchy, to say the least, expect a heavy workload for the franchise running back as he gets plenty of opportunities to hit paydirt in 2026, finishing with Over 5.5 rushing touchdowns for a +130 payout.
Potential Breakout Player: A big play receiver who still hasn’t had a true opportunity to showcase his skill set as he enters his fifth NFL season, look for a career-best season from Dolphins wide receiver Jalen Tolbert in 2026. Having played behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens with the Dallas Cowboys last season, Tolbert still managed to put on a show when the football was put to his chest. Over the last three seasons, Tolbert has averaged at least 11 yards per reception, a mark only 13 wideouts have accomplished, including top talents such as Ja’Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, showcasing his level of big-play consistency. Set to serve as a go-to receiver for the Dolphins, expect a career-year statistically from Tolbert.
Betting Projection: “And with the first pick of the 2027 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select” is something we will be hearing NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell utter next April, as the Dolphins are without a doubt the worst team in the NFL. Not only are they bad on paper, but they have little to no young talent for them to build around. With the state of affairs in Miami in complete shambles, look for the Dolphins to finish with the worst record in the NFL, struggling to compete on a weekly basis, and putting out some horrid on-field product over 17 games this season.
