BC Lions vs. Edmonton Elks Prediction
The final game of the CFL Week 7 schedule features a West Division matchup between the BC Lions and Edmonton Elks. BC enters with one of the league’s most explosive offences, capable of scoring quickly through both the air and on the ground.
Edmonton has competed hard throughout the season but has struggled to put together complete performances. The Elks must protect the football and sustain long drives if they hope to keep BC’s dynamic offence off the field.
The Lions have more proven playmakers on both sides of the ball and should be able to create the big plays needed to secure a road victory. Their level of urgency should be much higher than Edmonton’s after a poor 1-3 start to the season.
Prediction: BC Lions 30, Edmonton Elks 23. BC covers the +3.5 spread.
BC +3.5 spread
Montreal Alouettes vs. Calgary Stampeders Prediction
The Montreal Alouettes will be making the long trip west to face the Calgary Stampeders. Calgary has established itself as one of the CFL’s most complete teams this season, combining a disciplined defence with an offence capable of controlling the pace of the game.
Montreal’s defence is aggressive and has shown an ability to create turnovers, but slowing Calgary’s balanced attack on the road is a difficult challenge. The Stampeders are effective at sustaining drives, limiting mistakes, and capitalizing on scoring opportunities inside the red zone.
For Montreal to pull off the upset, the Alouettes will need to win the turnover battle and consistently pressure Calgary’s quarterback. If they allow the Stampeders to dictate the tempo, it could be a long night.
Prediction: Calgary Stampeders 28, Montreal Alouettes 20. Calgary covers the +1.5 spread.

Toronto Argonauts vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats Prediction
The Battle of Ontario returns as the Toronto Argonauts visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in one of the CFL’s premier rivalries. These games rarely disappoint, with physical play and momentum swings often deciding the outcome.
Toronto’s defence has been one of its biggest strengths, consistently generating pressure and forcing key turnovers. Hamilton possesses explosive offensive talent, but losing quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell to an ankle injury has sputtered the offence as a whole.
Expect a close contest into the fourth quarter, where field position and special teams could ultimately determine the winner, but the loss of Mitchell is too much to overcome for Hamilton.
Prediction: Toronto Argonauts 30, Hamilton Tiger-Cats 24. Toronto covers the 4.5-point spread.
Argonauts -4.5 spread
Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Ottawa Redblacks Prediction
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers travel to Ottawa looking to continue their winning ways against the Redblacks. Winnipeg remains one of the league’s most fundamentally sound teams, relying on a strong running game, excellent line play, and timely defensive stops.
Ottawa has shown flashes of offensive potential this season, particularly at home, but maintaining consistency against Winnipeg’s defence will be a major challenge. If the Redblacks fall behind early, they’ll be forced into a pass-heavy approach that plays directly into Winnipeg’s defensive strengths.
Look for the Blue Bombers to wear winless Ottawa down over four quarters with their physical style of football.
Prediction: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 31, Ottawa Redblacks 21. Winnipeg covers the 4.5-point spread.
