Salvador Perez (+525)
The Kansas City Royals’ playoff hopes might be fading down the stretch, but that isn’t stopping big Salvador Perez from tearing the cover off the ball recently. He’s collected three home runs over his last two games to bring his tally to 28 on the season and is surely looking forward to a favourable home matchup with Logan Gilbert and the Seattle Mariners. Perez is 6-for-16 (.375 batting average, .813 slugging percentage) with two homers and eight RBIs in 16 career at-bats against Gilbert, and warm temperatures around 27 C with calm winds are expected in Kansas City. Perez also ranks in the 91st percentile in barrel rate (14.8%) and the 73rd percentile in hard-hit rate (46.9%) this season, solidifying himself as one of the top power hitters in the majors. Rob Refsnyder (+600)
Rob Refsnyder isn’t a player you’d typically target in the home run prop betting markets, but he’s seen an increase in playing time in Boston’s outfield recently due to a number of injuries. The Athletics are projected to start southpaw Jeffrey Springs on Tuesday night, and that’s exactly why bettors should be considering targeting Refsnyder, who absolutely destroys left-handed pitching. The Red Sox outfielder is slashing .306/.397/.577 with a .974 OPS in 111 at-bats against lefties this season. Seven of his eight home runs have also been on southpaws and he has two in eight career at-bats against Springs. Weather won’t play a factor at Fenway Park in this matchup, as typical September temperatures and calm winds are expected. You can find the best odds (+600) on this market over at bet365.
Rob Refsnyder to hit a home run vs. Athletics
Teoscar Hernandez (+475)
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be sending Shohei Ohtani to the mound to battle the Philadelphia Phillies in a clash of National League titans on Tuesday night, and we should see some favourable home run conditions in Los Angeles, where temperatures are expected to be around 27 C with winds lightly blowing out to centre field. We’re going to target Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez in the home run market, as he’s 5-for-9 with a pair of homers in his career against Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez. Hernandez owns a .500 slugging percentage against southpaws this season (.444 vs. right-handers), and he’s in solid form this month, slashing .280/.308/.500 with three homers.
