2025 NFC West Betting Preview: Super Bowl Odds, Division Odds, Props, and Projections

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (85) is introduced before the start of the game against the Chicago Bears at Levi's Stadium.

A competitive division that is always chock-full of surprises, the 2025 NFC West is set to be a warzone this season. With several teams vying for the top spot in the division, you can crank up the intensity level even further by placing a bet on the action with our NFC West betting preview.

Looking for a bounce-back year after an injury-riddled 2024 season, the San Francisco 49ers are once again on their quest to capture the elusive Lombardi Trophy. With the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL this season, the opportunistic Niners will look to make the most out of their upcoming campaign.

Sporting a new-look roster, the Seattle Seahawks are looking to shock the football world with their play this season. After narrowly missing the postseason in 2024, the Seahawks are ready to punch their ticket back to the NFL Playoffs in 2025.

Hoping to find some consistency in their play in 2025, this may be one of the last-ditch efforts for this current Arizona Cardinals roster to prove they’re trending in the right direction. With Kyler Murray having proven he can lead a team to the playoffs in the past, this season will be a golden opportunity to prove the doubters wrong and play their way back into Super Bowl contention.

Last but not least, the Los Angeles Rams came incredibly close to besting the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL Playoffs last season, and they’re looking to ride that momentum into a 2025 season with plenty of uncertainty looming over their roster.

Don’t wait, place your upcoming football wagers with the best NFL betting sites in Canada and watch your bankroll skyrocket with our winning picks featured in our 2025 NFC West betting preview.

Key Additions: EDGE Bryce Huff, WR Demarcus Robinson, P Thomas Morstead, S Jason Pinnock, CB Fabian Moreau

Key Subtractions: WR Deebo Samuel, CB Charvarius Ward, EDGE Leonard Floyd, LB Dre Greenlaw, S Talanoa Hufanga

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Set for a primetime tilt against the Rams on Thursday Night Football in Week 5, this will be a massive game for the 49ers. Taking on last year’s division champions on the road will be a great test to see if the 49ers have truly regained their Super Bowl upside. Having lost three straight to the Rams, this matchup won’t just be big for their regular season record but for their pride and confidence moving forward as well.

Prop to Watch: After losing Deebo Samuel in the offseason to the Washington Commanders, several openings have emerged in the passing attack for the 49ers, something that two-time All-Pro tight end George Kittle will have no problem taking advantage of. Coming off a sensational 2024 season in which he hauled in 1,000+ yards and recorded eight touchdown grabs, Kittle has continued to be one of the best all-around tight ends in the game. As a sure-handed receiver with plenty of experience in the Niners’ game plan, look for him to be a popular end zone target of Brock Purdy this season as he racks up over 6.5 touchdowns in 2025.

Potential Breakout Player: Similarly to Kittle, another beneficiary of this revamped receiver corps will be former first-round pick Ricky Pearsall. Pearsall, who missed the first six games of his rookie season after suffering a gunshot wound in the offseason, is set to make his presence felt in the NFL world this season. A reliable route runner, look for Pearsall to use his youth and explosiveness to find openings in the defence, linking up regularly with Purdy as he emerges as a breakout player for the 49ers in Year 2.

Betting Projection: If the 49ers can stay healthy, the NFC West is theirs to lose. Sporting an incredibly deep and talented roster, the 49ers are a well-oiled machine. Even through a slew of personnel changes on both sides of the ball, Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers are primed to adjust and come back stronger as they’ve done in the past. With the return of Christian McCaffrey to their offence, look for the 49ers to make the regular season look like a cakewalk as the benefit from having the weakest strength of schedule in the NFL, cruising their way to the NFC West title, as well as over 10.5 wins on the year.

Key Subtractions: QB Geno Smith, WR D.K. Metcalf, WR Tyler Lockett, TE Noah Fant, S Rayshawn Jenkins

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Kicking off the 2025 season with a pivotal showdown in their upcoming campaign, the Seahawks are set for a colossal clash against the 49ers in Week 1. Sporting a new-look squad from top to bottom, this will be an excellent opportunity to test themselves as a unit against one of the top teams in the NFC. If the Seahawks can manage to squeak out a victory in front of their home crowd, this will propel them not just in notoriety, but in overall team chemistry as the Seahawks look to make their return to the NFL Playoffs in 2025.

Prop to Watch: Hot off the heels of a career-best season, newly appointed Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has seemingly shed the “bust” tag after a phenomenal season with the Minnesota Vikings that saw him pass for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns. While playing alongside Justin Jefferson never hurts a quarterback’s stats, look for Darnold to prove he isn’t a one-season wonder as he tallies 3,500+ passing yards in 2025. Landing in a beneficial destination, Darnold will have the pleasure of playing alongside another one of the game’s great wideouts in Cooper Kupp, as well as rising star Jackson Smith-Njigba. Expect to see Darnold heavily utilize the passing attack, racking up yardage with ease, and quickly amassing 3,500+ passing yards during the 2025 season.

Potential Breakout Player: After nearly doubling his receiving yardage from his rookie season in 2024, look for Jackson Smith-Njigba to continue blossoming into one of the next great young receivers in the game. Possessing a great blend of route-running ability, as well as breakneck speed, JSN is quickly becoming one of the toughest covers in the NFL. With D.K. Metcalf officially out of the picture, look for Smith-Njigba to receive ample attention in the Seahawks’ passing game as he has his best season yet in Year 3.

Betting Projection: Oddsmakers have it all wrong right now, and we want you to punish them for it. Sporting a solid offence that should produce at the same rate as last season, while now adding a much-improved defence, the Seahawks are going to be a playoff team in 2025. While there may be some growing pains early into the season as new members work on amalgamating themselves into the lineup as well as building team chemistry, once they get rolling don’t expect to see them stop. Hammer the Seahawks to finish with over 8.5 wins this season at plus-money and boost your bankroll behind one of the biggest sleeping giants in the NFL this year.

Key Additions: EDGE Josh Sweat, LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, LG Royce Newman, DT Calais Campbell, CB Jaylon Jones

Key Subtractions: WR Zach Pascal, LB Krys Barnes, EDGE Dennis Gardeck, C Trystan Colon, LT Jackson Barton

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Kicking off the second half of their 2025 campaign coming off their bye week in Week 9, the Cardinals will tango with the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Regardless of how they start, the Cardinals’ season will be dictated by how they finish as they have a stacked back half of their 2025 season. Taking on a tough opponent in the dangerous Cowboys not just on the road, but on primetime, will set the stage for a massive game that could have a lasting impact on the overall finish of their season.

Prop to Watch: Once again set to be playing behind a weak offensive line, as well as trying to make plays for a lacklustre receiving corps, look for Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray to once again be forced to scramble for his life this season as he racks up over 474.5 rushing yards this season. In every season that Murray has played at least 14 games, he has eclipsed this rushing yards mark, including last year when he ran for 572 on the season. With his hand likely forced to be the main source of all offence for his team, expect to see plenty of Murray leaving the pocket in 2025.

Potential Breakout Player: After a downright disappointing rookie season, expect to see a significant bounce back in production from wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Harrison Jr. was drafted fourth overall in 2024 and was one of the most highly-touted wideout prospects in a decade. This led to his play being held under a microscope as he only managed to haul in 885 yards and eight touchdowns last year. While these numbers are solid, many expected bigger things from the second-generation NFL receiver, something we are set to see in 2025. With his rookie woes behind him, expect to see MHJ grow into the player he was once projected to be, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark and establishing himself as the number-one receiver on the team for years to come.

Betting Projection: Not good, not bad, the Cardinals are once again a perfect blend of mid. While they did make some solid upgrades to their roster in the offseason, it still isn’t enough to boost themselves into the upper echelon of the NFC West. With head coach Jonathan Gannon having struggled to amass winning seasons for his team, expect the Cardinals to finish near the .500 mark on the season, but more likely than not, under 8.5 wins as they miss the postseason for the fourth straight season.

Key Additions: WR Davante Adams, LT D.J. Humphries, RG Coleman Shelton, DT Poona Ford, LB Nate Landman

Key Subtractions: WR Cooper Kupp, RG Jonah Jackson, LT Joseph Noteboom, WR Demarcus Robinson, EDGE Michael Hoecht

Most Important Game on the Schedule: Dead set on proving that it wasn’t a fluke matchup, the Rams will be looking to bring their best as they take on the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, in Week 3. After putting forth the best effort of any team that played against the Eagles in the playoffs last year, the Rams will look to secure an early morale boost in 2025. This matchup will also be a great test to see if they are once again able to hang with the big dogs of the NFC, or if we will see a dropoff in production from last season.

Prop to Watch: Ready to prove to the NFL world he still has what it takes to perform at a high level as a top wideout, bank on newly-acquired Davante Adams to score 10+ touchdowns in 2025. Coming off back-to-back seasons with eight scores, Adams has had to play through sloppy quarterback play on losing teams. Set to play alongside all-time great passer, Matthew Stafford, who has a history of linking up with end zone threat receivers to great success, look for Adams to post double-digit touchdowns for the first time since 2022 at +175.

Potential Breakout Player: He might not be a household name right now, but look for this to change during the 2025 season, as Rams defensive end Braden Fiske becomes one of the premier edge threats in the game. Coming off a stellar rookie campaign that saw him tally 8.5 sacks, Fiske finished third in defensive rookie of the year voting. Now with a chip on his shoulder, look for Fiske to set out to prove himself as the top defensive player in his draft class, hitting double digit sacks for the first time in his career, and quickly growing into a leader on the Rams defence in his second year.

Betting Projection: Sean McVay may be the best coach in the NFL, but great coaching can only get you so far. After defying expectations last season and squeezing the juice out of every player within his lineup, look for the McVay-led Rams to finish at the bottom of the NFC West in 2025. While their offence is not too shabby, it does feature several injury-prone players on the wrong side of 30. The biggest issue for the Rams this season comes on the defensive side of the ball, sporting one of the worst defences in the league. Aside from one or two talents, the Rams defence couldn’t stop a nosebleed and is set to get throttled on a weekly basis in 2025. Having to rely on their offence to win in a shootout from game-to-game is never a recipe for success, making this Rams squad a definite fade in 2025.
