Best CFL Free Picks & Predictions for Week 18

Here we go again, Canadian Football League fans. We're back for Week 18 of the CFL season, with four more exciting games on the docket. Will their be upsets this week?

That what some road teams will be hoping for, while the home teams will look to keep their winning ways going. There's no doubt the Game of the Week will be between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Calgary Stampeders.

Which team will have the advantage in that contest? In this piece, we take a look at the CFL odds and offer up our CFL picks and predictions for that battle and the three others games on the schedule.

Toronto actually favored against Ottawa

Stop the presses... the Toronto Argonauts, without question the worst team in the CFL with their 2-12 record, will enter Friday's game with the Ottawa Redblacks as 1.5-point favorites.

Who saw this coming? Toronto has lost three consecutive games, but the Redblacks are 3-11 and have lost seven in a row. If you're hoping to watch some good football, this may not be the best showdown to watch.

Regardless, one team will end up coming out on top. Given they'll have home-field advantage, we'll go with the Argonauts to win their third game of the season and take down Ottawa and cover the spread.

Roughriders vs. Stampeders is your Game of the Week

Get excited for this one, as the Saskatchewan Roughriders will head to Calgary to take on the Stampeders. Plain and simple, this one should be a great game.

The Roughriders are 10-4 on the year, while the Stampeders are 9-5. With Bo Levi Mitchell running the show for Calgary, he knows he and the offense need to take care of the football.

He has three touchdowns and three interceptions in his last three games.

The Stampeders will enter the weekend as 3-point favorites. In what should be a see-saw affair, we think Calgary will get the job done and get a win, while also covering the spread.

Winnipeg will get back on track against Montreal

Unfortunately for the Blue Bombers, their season has done a complete 180 after their incredible start.

Winnipeg is now 9-6, and have lost three consecutive games. Fans surely weren't expecting this kind of a downslide from the group.

Fortunately for them, though, they will take on Montreal this weekend, a team that's also been up and down this year at 8-6.

The Blue Bombers are 4-point home favorites leading up to the game. Take them to get the W and cover the spread.

BC will look to stay hot on the road against Edmonton

The BC Lions are still red hot. For those out there who assumed their hot streak would come to an end, the opposite as been the case.

The Lions are now 5-10, winning their last four games. They've completely turned things around on both sides of the ball.

Now, they'll look to make it five straight wins when they take on Edmonton. Despite being the visiting team, BC is favorited by 2.5 points.

Can they indeed make it five in a row? We think so. Go with British Columbia.
