NFL Wild Card Weekend Weather Report: Rain Could Impact Two Matchups

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (8) runs with the ball against Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright (26) during the first quarter at Soldier Field

It’s playoff time in the NFL, and that means that winter weather is reaching its peak as the calendar flips to January.

Inclement weather, cold temperatures, and high winds can have varying impacts on the outcome of a football game, leading to an increase in turnovers, missed kicks, and errant throws. Online sportsbooks are also keeping an eye on these weather projections and adjust their betting lines accordingly.

Surprisingly, all six matchups on Wild Card Weekend will be played at outdoor venues, leaving the games susceptible to the wrath of Mother Nature.

Here’s a look at the projected weather forecasts for each NFL venue that is hosting a game in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
