At this point in the NFL season, we’re really seeing which teams are emerging as the favourites to potentially compete for a trip to the Super Bowl. Both the AFC and NFC are loaded, which has been exciting for fans to see thus far this season. With that said, who will end up competing for the Lombardi Trophy? In this piece, we have NFL conference winners’ picks for the 2021 season. Read on for more!
Bills are the favourites to win the AFC this season
After losing in the conference title game last year, the Bills are the favourites to win the AFC this season. Fans all over Buffalo have been fired up to see how strong the team has been playing. Josh Allen is looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the game, while Stefon Diggs has reminded us why he’s considered an electric wide receiver. Defensively, Buffalo really has a strong unit as well.
Other than the Bills, teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans are of course going to try and make plenty of noise as well. With the Ravens, Lamar Jackson is in the middle of a great year. Unfortunately, all of the injuries have really had a negative impact on this team. It’s been a bummer, especially with J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters out for the year.
AFC odds | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bills to win | 3.20 | 3.20 | 3.20 | 3.20 |
Ravens to win | 5.60 | 5.60 | 5.60 | 5.60 |
Chiefs to win | 7.00 | 7.00 | 7.00 | 7.00 |
Titans to win | 9.50 | 9.50 | 9.50 | 9.50 |
In the AFC West, there’s been no bigger surprise than the Kansas City Chiefs. As of this writing, Kansas City is a lowly 4-4 on the year through its first eight games of the season. Kansas City nearly lost to the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes is having a year to forget too. No one expected him to look this bad in 2021, but here we are.
According to the best Canadian sportsbooks, the Bills have been given 3.20 best NFL betting odds to win the AFC and go on to play in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, for the Ravens, they’ve been set at 5.60, Kansas City is at 7.00 and the Titans are 9.50. From our chair, we think it’d be a shocker if Buffalo doesn’t get back to the Super Bowl. We’re going with the Bills as our pick here. Agree? Place a wager with our best NFL betting sites.
Look for the Packers to win the NFC this winter
On the other side of things, look for the Packers to win the NFC this winter. Are you surprised by this statement? Currently, the oddsmakers have given Green Bay the third-best odds to win the NFC, as they’re at 6.00. Ahead of them are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams, who have been placed at 4.10 and 4.30, respectively.
What really has Green Bay in the driver’s seat in our opinion has been the play of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is looking like one of the best quarterbacks out there period. He really silenced all of his haters in Week 8 when he powered Green Bay to its road win going up against the Arizona Cardinals. What’s really been hurting the Packers of late though has been players missing action due to COVID. They can only hope that stops soon.
For the Buccaneers, the reigning Super Bowl champions have also looked strong this year, but they’ve also battled some inconsistency. This was on full display going up against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, with New Orleans recording a stunning win. This came even with quarterback Jameis Winston tearing his ACL in the first half.
The Rams got even stronger ahead of the trade deadline by acquiring Von Miller. The pass-rusher will be ready to put on a show. With that said, we still think things will end with the Packers winning the NFC and then going on to play in the Super Bowl. Rodgers will keep the magic going and put the Lambeau Fieldside in a great position here.
Can Aaron Rodgers win his second Super Bowl?
Folks, can Aaron Rodgers win his second Super Bowl? That question will be asked all winter. Rodgers won it all with the Packers in 2011, but he’s failed to lift the trophy ever since. There was plenty of hope last year, but Tom Brady and the Bucs stunned the Packers in the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau. No one saw that result coming.
Per the oddsmakers, Green Bay has the fourth-best Super Bowl odds at 10.50. They’re behind the Bills, Bucs and Rams. This isn’t a major shock, since those three other teams look like serious threats as well. However, with this potentially being Rodgers’ last season with Green Bay, we think he’ll end his playing days with the Packers in style. Green Bay is our pick to win the Super Bowl.
