Event of the week
NFL Week 18 – Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers – Sunday, Jan. 8
The final week of the NFL regular season won’t be lacking drama.
Several teams are still battling for playoff spots and positioning heading into the final weekend of play, and the race for the final playoff seed in the NFC is particularly intriguing.
The Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers are all vying for the No. 7 seed, and ironically, the Lions and Packers will square off on Sunday night in a game that will ultimately decide the fate of all three teams.
Green Bay can simply clinch the final playoff spot with a win over Detroit. The Lions need to beat the Packers in Green Bay and Seattle would have to lose to the Los Angeles Rams earlier in the day in order for Detroit to clinch. Seattle needs a win and Green Bay to lose on Sunday night in order to advance.
The Packers, who have won four straight games to keep their playoff hopes alive, are 4.5-point favourites at Betway against the Lions with the total set at 49.5 points.
Seattle is a hearty 6.5-point favourite against the Rams.
