Weather is an important factor to consider when handicapping NFL games, especially as the season progresses into the fall and winter months.
High winds, cold weather, and precipitation can dictate the game plans of the respective teams in any given game, and it’s very common to see game totals and spreads shift due to inclement weather.
Let’s take a look at the weather forecasts for the host venues in Week 6.

The most notable weather story should be coming out of Baltimore, where rain and high winds are expected. This game opened with a 48.5-point total at most online sportsbooks, and it has since moved to 44.5 throughout the week. An injury to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is also a major reason why the line has plummeted. Jackson hasn’t practiced yet this week but hasn’t been ruled out as of Friday morning.
