It’s been a long summer without NBA basketball, but the Toronto Raptors are finally set to open their 2025-26 campaign on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.
With the regular season quickly approaching, now is the time to lock in your NBA futures bets if you haven’t done so already.
Let’s take a look at a few key futures markets and where the Raptors stand heading into the 2025-26 season.
Raptors NBA title odds
Raptors to win the NBA title
Only nine teams have longer odds than the Raptors at +17500 to win the 2025-26 NBA title at bet365. To say they’re a long shot in this betting market would be a huge understatement, as oddsmakers aren’t expecting this team to contend for a championship at all this season.
Raptors Odds to win Atlantic Division
Raptors to win the Atlantic Division
The Raptors are projected to finish fourth in the Atlantic Division at most online sportsbooks, giving them somewhere in the neighbourhood of +1300 to +1500 odds to win the division title depending on the sportsbook. The New York Knicks are the runaway favourites at around -333 odds to win the division, with the Philadelphia 76ers (around +550) and Boston Celtics (around +900) rounding out the top three. Only the Brooklyn Nets have worse odds (+50000) to win the division than the Raptors.
Raptors Season win total
Raptors over 36.5 wins
Make sure you shop around before locking in any wagers on Toronto’s regular season win total, as you’ll find it ranges from 36.5 to 38.5 depending on the online sportsbook. BetVictor is offering one of the lowest Raptors season win totals on the market at steep -188 odds if you’re looking to back the over, while bet365 has its Raptors win total set at 38.5 if you’re looking to take the under. Either way, online sportsbooks are projecting the Raptors to have a record under .500 this season.
Raptors Playoff odds
Raptors to participate in play-in tournament
Most online sportsbooks are projecting the Raptors to be a fringe playoff team, offering around +110 odds on the team to make the playoffs and -105 odds to participate in the play-in tournament by virtue of finishing as a No. 7-No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is part of a cluster of teams that have between -105 and +120 odds to qualify for the play-in tournament, joining Boston (+100), Indiana (+100), Miami (+105), and Philadelphia (+130).
Raptors best bet
Raptors to make the playoffs
The Raptors are largely returning the same squad that captured just 30 wins last season, with the hopes that a healthy Brandon Ingram and the drafting of Collin Murray-Boyles can launch them into the playoff conversation in the Eastern Conference.
Ingram has yet to make his Raptors debut due to an ankle injury after being acquired last February, but he appears healthy now and ready to contribute. The 28-year-old has only played more than 64 games in a single season once in his nine-year career, making him a huge gamble from a health perspective. However, his offensive upside is undeniable, and when healthy, he can be considered an elite scorer at the NBA level. Ingram has averaged 19.5 points on 46.8% shooting over his NBA career.
Murray-Boyles, at least initially, will fit in the depth chart as a rotational big man that has defensive upside. He has the ceiling of an All-Defensive Team player, but his offensive skills will need some time to develop. His impact in his rookie season will likely be minimal.
Overall, Toronto’s starting five—Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Ingram, Scottie Barnes, and Jakob Poeltl—consists of solid veteran players that have a history of being injury prone. The team’s fate this season likely hinges solely on the health of these five players, with the ceiling being the No. 5 or No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference if everyone can mostly stay fit. If the team gets bit early and often by the injury bug, it’ll be an uphill battle to qualify for the play-in tournament as a No. 7-No. 10 seed in the East.
Given the weakened state of some teams in the Eastern Conference this year due to major injuries to stars, like Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton and Boston’s Jayson Tatum, the playing level has narrowed slightly in the conference in Toronto’s favour. We’ll bank on the Raptors having a relatively healthy and productive campaign and sliding into a playoff spot at plus money odds.
