NHL Anytime Goal-Scorer Parlay Picks For January 6

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (86) shoots the puck against the St. Louis Blues in the first period at Benchmark International Arena.

An anytime goal-scorer bet is one of the most popular and straightforward player prop wagers in NHL betting. It allows you to bet on a specific player to score a goal at any point during the game, whether it’s the first goal, last goal, or any goal in between. This bet type offers an exciting way to stay engaged with the game, as your selected player can score at any moment to cash your bet.

Let’s take a look at three skaters to parlay to score a goal in the NHL on Tuesday night, which prices out at +1940 on bet365. I’d personally recommend also staking as a round robin wager, allowing us to profit off hitting two of three of our goal-scorers finding the back of the net.

Nikita Kucherov to Score: +150

The Stanley Cup favourite Colorado Avalanche will face off against the Eastern Conference favourite Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night, providing arguably the best matchup from a strong 10-game card.

The Avalanche will be completing a tough three-in-four spot in this matchup and will be without a critical piece in elite shutdown defender Devon Toews, as well as captain Gabriel Landeskog. They look to be one of the best regular season teams in history, but this game features a total of 6.5 with nearly even prices on sides, and this looks like an alright spot to count on a productive performance from Tampa Bay’s scorching hot top unit.

Backing Brayden Point to score at +200 as opposed to Kucherov is tempting, as he’s also scored in three straight and has found his game after a slower start to the year. At a price of +150, I’m happy to keep it chalky and ride with Kucherov, as the future Hall of Famer is on one of the most productive runs of his career with eight goals and 25 points over the last 11 games.

While Kucherov is geared towards looking to set up teammates first and foremost, he obviously has strong finishing abilities and has been generating a lot of high-quality scoring chances of late. Over the last five games, Kucherov has generated 4.81 individual expected goals from a total of 31 attempts on goal.

Tampa Bay’s new-look top unit of Kucherov, Point, and Gage Goncalves has scored 7.71 goals per 60 this season in 54.1 minutes of play together. The Avalanche obviously offer a tough matchup, but head coach Jon Cooper should be able to pick some favourable spots for his dominant top line in this matchup, and the Lightning do have a situational advantage.

Kucherov should be well motivated in this high-profile clash, and at +150, I’m happy to back him extending his goal-scoring streak to six games.

Sam Reinhart to Score: +155

Ahead of the Florida Panthers matchup on November 6th versus the Los Angeles Kings, I outlined my belief that oddsmakers were underselling Reinhart’s standing as one of the game’s best goal-scorers, pricing him at +165 to score in that matchup.

Here we are two months later, and you can seemingly make most of the same points. Reinhart has scored at least once in 50% of his 28 games played since that article was written, totaling 17 goals and 37 points in that span.

As a blanket rule, Reinhart generally appears to be a solid bet to score at prices in the +155 range like we are getting tonight. Dating back to the start of the 2023-24 season, Reinhart ranks second in the NHL with 119 goals across 202 games played.

He’s been in great form of late, having scored a total of eight goals over the last 10 games. In that span he’s generated 5.04 individual expected goals, which does suggest regression is on the horizon, but also that one of the game’s more accurate shooters is capable of continuing to score often enough to make prices north of +150 profitable.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have allowed 3.34 goals against per game this season, which is the sixth-highest mark in the NHL. Reinhart scored in the first matchup of the season between these division rivals and has 11 goals in his last 20 games versus Toronto.

Mason Marchment to Score: +220

Marchment has been an excellent addition to the Blue Jackets lineup thus far, as he’s tallied five goals in seven games since coming over from the Seattle Kraken. Marchment’s improved production has been aided by the fact that he is playing alongside Kirill Marchenko and Adam Fantilli, who have generally carried the play quite heavily when playing together over the last two seasons.

In 75.9 minutes together Marchenko, Fantilli, and Marchment hold a 60.9% expected goal share and have scored 4.74 goals per 60. Marchment has generated 3.27 individual expected goals in seven games with Columbus from a total of 30 attempts on goal.

He’s also working on the Blue Jackets’ top power-play unit, which has succeeded on 20% of opportunities over the last seven games.

The San Jose Sharks provide a great matchup for Marchment to once again find the back of the net, as they have allowed the second highest goals against average in the NHL this season.
