Best bet – Dylan Larkin/Lucas Raymond to each record a point: +105

Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has done a tremendous job of leading by example this season with an incredible level of play, and is clearly determined to help his side snap a nine-year playoff drought.

Detroit will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid Thursday as it takes on an exciting young Anaheim Ducks side. While the Ducks’ offensive play has been exceptional, they have been shaky defensively, and the Red Wings are in a good situational spot playing at home on ideal rest.

Larkin and Raymond have shown excellent chemistry once again this season, and there is a strong correlation in backing both to record a point in the same matchup. Out of the 14 games that Raymond has played this season, he and Larkin have each gotten a point eight times.

Considering that Thursday’s matchup is ideal for the Red Wings’ dynamic duo to produce, eight of 14 is a strong clip for a play priced at +105.

Larkin and Raymond may also be likely to be slightly more productive moving forward with Alex DeBrincat having overtaken rookie Emmitt Finnie’s role on the top line. Finnie has played well during his impressive rookie campaign, but it’s still not tough to argue that his offensive upside isn’t quite the same as DeBrincat’s.

Over the last 10 games, the Ducks have allowed 3.80 xGA/60, which is the third-highest mark in the league. Joel Quenneville has rightfully leaned into a more offensive style of play than former coach Greg Cronin, but Anaheim is still far from a defensive juggernaut.

At -105 or better, I see value in backing Larkin and Raymond each to record a point in tonight’s matchup and would play it down to -110 if the Ducks are to start backup goaltender Petr Mrazek.

Best bet – Adam Fantilli over 2.5 shots on goal: +100

We were on Fantilli to record a point in Tuesday’s matchup versus the Seattle Kraken, and he came through for us, recording the Blue Jackets’ lone goal of the game.

It feels right to continue targeting Fantilli in the prop market in Thursday’s matchup versus the Edmonton Oilers, as he’s been significantly more involved offensively since being promoted to the Blue Jackets’ top line alongside Sean Monahan and Dmitri Voronkov. Backing Fantilli to record a point at -140 offers another strong option, but at +100 I see the most value in backing him to record three shots on goal when analyzing his recent play.

Fantilli has generated 16 shots on target over the last four games and has had 30 attempts on target in that span. While he’s clearly elevated his level of play personally, he is in a significantly better role centering a winger pairing that has drastically outplayed the opposition over the last two seasons. He’s rightfully received greater usage recently, averaging 18:50 of ice time over the last four games.

In 36.8 minutes together this season, Fantilli, Marchenko and Voronkov have generated a whopping 5.05 xGF/60, and in 370.7 minutes together last season outscored the opposition 21-8.

Fantilli recorded two points, three shots on goal, and nine shot attempts in Monday’s matchup versus the Oilers, who have been fairly average defensively this season and will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back.
