One of the world's most beautiful stadiums from the outside-in, BC Place is Vancouver's multi-purpose stadium located on the north side of False Creek. It houses the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC of the MLS. It also hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and features the annual Canada Sevens. Opened in 1983, it was the world's largest air-supported domed stadium until 2010.

Around 2008, the stadium underwent major renovations in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Everything from the concourses to seats to washrooms were upgraded.
The main focus was the roof, which was upgraded to become the largest cable-supported retractable roof in the world. The revolving doors were replaced with clear glass doors allowing fans to enter and exit the stadium much more easily. Over a thousand new HDTV screens were added along with a new state-of-the-art sound system.
