Mayweather Jr. Recent Form
It’s been nearly a decade since we last saw Mayweather compete in a professional boxing match, with his last bout a 2017 knockout victory over MMA legend Conor McGregor, which set the benchmark for the circus fights we’ve experienced since then. While Mayweather hasn’t been competing at a pro level, he has still been fighting.
Since 2018, Money Mayweather has fought six exhibition bouts, splitting the bouts with three wins and three draws. Notable names fought during this run include Logan Paul, John Gotti III, and Tenshin Nasukawa. None of the competition he has faced has been anywhere near the level he once fought at, with several of the bouts blatantly not appearing to be competitive as Mayweather sleepwalked his way through rounds.
Currently 49 years old, but will be 50 at the time of this upcoming bout, this presents an incredibly dangerous scenario for the all-time great as he puts his perfect 50-0 professional record on the line against a fighter that is younger, and has remained active in the pro boxing scene.
Time will tell if this decision was a wise one for Mayweather, but with all eyes on him, the boxing superstar may shine once more over his old rival.

Pacquiao Recent Form
In the first meeting between these fighters, it’s safe to say that Pacquiao got outclassed. While the Pac Man was the more aggressive fighter who tried to create action, Mayweather’s defensive boxing prowess and speed were simply too much for Pacquiao to handle. Although the first bout didn’t go his way, Pacquiao now has the opportunity to even the score with his former rival, who may be a legitimate underdog to back in this upcoming main event bout.
Unlike Mayweather, the 47-year-old Pacquiao has continued to compete at a pro level in the decade since their first fight. Scoring notable victories over Jesse Vargas and Keith Thurman, as well as his recent underdog showing that saw him draw with former WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios, Pacquiao remains as dangerous and hungry as ever.
With no ring rust under his belt entering into this bout, Pacquiao will need to learn from his mistakes in their first bout, fighting a more calculated and methodical bout, but still remaining himself as he looks to put the pressure on the absentee Mayweather.
