For Gracie, he’s 11-2-0 in his fighting career and he’s fresh off a recent victory over Mark Lemminger. That was a huge win for Gracie, as in his previous fight, he suffered a tough loss going up against Jason Jackson. We don’t have to tell you how big it was from a confidence standpoint for Gracie to bounce back and record that win over Lemminger. This is only going to help him as he gets ready to dance with Storley.
Speaking of Storley, he’s 12-1-0 in his career. Similar to Gracie, Storley was able to get a win in his last fight, and that came after he was beaten. In his last bout, Gracie took down Dante Schiro. However, in the fight before, he lost for the first time in his career, as Yaroslav Amosov was able to beat him. It was a humbling experience, but he was able to overcome things the next time around and get some revenge.
According to the best-rated Canadian sportsbooks, Gracie indeed is the favourite with his 1.61 Bellator odds. As for Storley, he’s been set at 2.35. This one feels like it’s going to be a back-and-forth matchup. While Storley will do everything possible to try and stun Gracie, we don’t think that will happen. In another exciting fight that’s on the way this weekend, Andrey Koreshkov is favoured in the Bellator 274 co-main event. This should be another thriller, as Koreshkov is all set to meet Chance Rencountre in a Welterweight meeting. This fight was a late addition to Bellator 274, as things weren’t made official between the two sides until just recently. Now, though, both guys are hungry to come away with a big-time win.
For Koreshkov, he’s been given 1.50 MMA odds for this particular event. As for Rencountre, he’s been placed at 3.00. These odds tell you that the experts over in the MMA world think that Koreshkov should have no issues coming away with a win. While that might be the case and on paper, he’s indeed the favourite, that doesn’t mean that Rencountre isn’t ready to surprise plenty of people on Saturday night. He’s got upset on his mind.
With that said, things are going to be difficult for him. Originally, Koreshkov was scheduled to fight Mukhamed Berkhamov on Saturday night, but he had to back out of things due to injury. With this, the Bellator team had to find a replacement and they were fortunate to get things signed with Rencountre so quickly. While it’s exciting for Rencountre that he’ll be featured in the co-main event, he’s really got a tall task.
Koreshkov has fierce power, and he’ll also be entering this fight with loads of confidence knowing he’s such a favourite. While anything can happen when two people put the gloves on, it would be a major stunner if Rencountre were to come away with a win here. Because of this and Koreshkov’s expertise, we’re going to have to go with Koreshkov as our pick. He’s simply too good and he should have no issues in recording a win here.
