The Australian Grand Prix is one of the final three races of the year. This year we’ll head to the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit on April 7. The Melbourne track is the second oldest surviving racing circuit down under.
F1 betting in Australia has grown in popularity in the last few decades since the Formula 1 races have been held at the Albert Park Circuit. Though this isn’t to say that F1 hasn’t been a big part of the Formula 1 circuit for years, motor sports in Australia stretch back all the way to the late 1920s.
While Albert Park has been the track for Formula 1 for some time now, Australia has seen 23 different venues over the years. The first race was held on Phillip Island in 1928, with a number of other venues holding the torch for Australian motorsport.
Each year, the Australian Grand Prix betting odds command a huge audience, as the race comes towards the end of the season. The timing of the event means that often the event comes around as the seasons’ title is being decided. Around the time of the event, there are always interesting F1 free picks for bettors to enjoy.
