Odds To Win College Football Championship

From the Big House in Michigan to The Swamp in Florida, and from Husky Stadium in Washington to Death Valley in Louisiana, there is nothing quite like NCAA Football. Played at packed houses across the United States, primarily on Saturdays from August to November, this brand of pigskin is some of the best action on the planet. It is also a very popular betting option at top online sportsbooks.

16/11/18 NCAAF National Championship Week 12 Odds

Halfway home, the third edition of the 2019 College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings has been posted. With each team winning in Week 11, the CFP committee left their Top Ten unchanged. The Tigers (8-2) holding seventh, ahead of three teams at 9-1, is surprising. UCF, 9-0 and winners of 22 straight, were snubbed again. AP Top 25 and Coaches polls didn’t change much either as the top six stayed in place. LSU was dropped from #7 to #10 and West Virginia, Washington State and Ohio State all moved up one spot.

Alabama is now to 10-0 after 24-0 Week 11 win over #16 Mississippi State. With back-to-back shutouts, the Crimson Tide defense has not allowed any points since Tennessee posted a TD late in the first half three weeks ago. Alabama has outscored the Volunteers, Tigers and Bulldogs by a combined 69-7 count over their last ten quarters of play. A Tennessee INT return TD is the only blemish. With The Citadel Bulldogs up next – the run should hit 14. Buy Alabama’s (-265) best line at Bodog – a Canuck original.

“Alabama and Clemson would need massive stumbles to fall out the Final Four”

Clemson, who coincidentally beat up on Division 1-AA The Citadel 61-3 one year ago, remains as consensus (+450) second chalk at football focused sportsbooks. The Tigers (10-2) senior players wrapped up their fourth straight ACC Atlantic Division title and, if Pittsburgh beats Wake Forest in Week 12, will play the Panthers in the ACC Championship. Prior to that, Clemson will cruise as they host Duke for the first time since 2012 and South Carolina who the Cats have clawed a 162-66 in games over the last four seasons.

Michigan flexed their muscles, on both sides of the ball; as they rolled to a 42-7 road win vs Rutgers who are one of the worst teams in NCAA Division 1 US College Football. Almost as weak as the Scarlet Knights, the Wolverines will feast on the Indiana Hoosiers at the Big House prior to their battle with the Buckeyes on the road in Ohio next week. If Michigan wins out they will make the Final Four. Bodog see’s that happening as they kept the Maize & Blue at +650 as compared to the Wolverines +1000 best line at Betway.

In advance of their Week 12 showdown with #12 Syracuse, on the big stage at Yankee Stadium, Notre Dame (9-1) rolled to a 42-13 home win over Florida State. The weather was miserable and, leading 32-6 at halftime, the Fighting Irish put the contest away early. Not part of the Power Five, Notre Dame needs to keep impressing, as they are the lone contender that won’t play a Championship game. The Orange, who battled hard during a 27-23 Week 5 road loss in Clemson, will test the Irish who are fourth favorites.

“Michigan and Notre Dame need to win out to earn a College Football Playoff position”

Georgia is the “bubble team” as their +1600 line is well clear of the +4000 price tag on Oklahoma. The Bulldogs face UMass (4-7) and Georgia Tech (6-4) prior to the their SEC Championship game showdown vs Alabama. While the Tide would still earn a CFP berth with a loss – UGA is toast if (when) they lose the SEC title game. Anticipating they meet in the Big 12 Championship, the #6 Sooners need to beat #7 West Virginia twice, in back-to-back games, and hope Michigan or Notre Dame, plus Georgia suffer a loss.

While they are following guidelines, criteria that seemingly supersede reality, the CFP Committee left #7 LSU unchanged. The Tigers best hope is for a New Year’s Six Bowl Game berth. It’s first things first for Washington State, West Virginia and Ohio State as they need to win out. If the Cougars capture the Pac-12, the Mountaineers claim the Big 12, and the Buckeyes win the Big Ten Championship, a CFP Big four berth may follow if three of the four #3 through #6 squads all lose. That’s tough to envision.

Not pulling teams out of a hat, our weekly parlay pick is the result of looking at all of Saturday games, picking out four we like and then digging deeper into those contests to end up with two. Occasionally, the “Big Four” all appear solid and that was the case last week. Iowa State and West Virginia cashed +167.03 on our top ticket but UCF failed to cover the first half of our accumulator with Notre Dame, which was a (-100) hit. Our record moves to 6-7 and 13 parlay bets have produced a +663.81 return to date.

Week 12 Parlay: Clemson -27.5 (-150) vs Duke + Ohio State -13.5 (-125) vs Maryland

Final Scores: Clemson 35-6 + Ohio State 52-51 NET: (-100)
