From the Big House in Michigan to The Swamp in Florida, and from Husky Stadium in Washington to Death Valley in Louisiana, there is nothing quite like NCAA Football. Played at packed houses across the United States, primarily on Saturdays from August to November, this brand of pigskin is some of the best action on the planet. It is also a very popular betting option at CSB top ranked online sportsbooks.
NCAA Football Futures 2018-19
US College Football has finally adopted a quasi playoff system to determine the National Champion. A work in progress – more games may be added down the road. This season, the Semifinal playoffs are on December 29, 2018, and the Championship Game goes January 7, 2019, in Santa Clara, CA. Our NCAAF futures lines are obtained from the best sportsbooks in the football betting business.

21/09/18 NCAAF National Week 4 Championship Odds
Steady as she goes was a familiar mantra following Week 3 NCAA Football action. Wisconsin, our preseason National Championship pick (gulp) and Florida are the most notable changes, as both teams have suffered embarrassing losses to unranked teams – at home no less. Following their Week 3 wilting, 24-21 vs BYU, the Badgers (+2000 to +3300) fell from fifth to ninth favorites at Bet365. It took few days, after they lost 27-16 to visiting Kentucky in Week 2, but the Gators have fallen off both Top 25 polls and the Bet365 futures board.
University of Central Florida (UCF) makes their first ever appearance on the Canada Sports Betting Top 25 futures table. Residing in the American Athletic Conference, a Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, the Knights don’t play a Power Five type schedule but UCF has now won 18 straight games. That includes a 62-55 OT mash-up vs #20 Memphis in the ACC Championship and a 34-27 victory over #7 Auburn in the 2018 Peach Bowl. Stay away from the Knights as NCAA National Champs as they won’t be a Final Four playoff participant.
We are still 39 days away from the first “official” College Football Playoff rankings being released. A textbook “Good Old Boys Club” example is alive and well here as Rob Mullens leads a Crew of twelve individuals, with experience as student-athletes, coaches, college administrators or journalism, who will determine the four playoff squads. Those teams will square off in the Orange and Cotton Bowl games on December 29, 2018, and the winners will advance to the National Championship game on January 8, 2019, at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
National Championship Add: Ohio State Buckeyes (-700) at Betway Sportsbook.
We took a step backwards as our regular season numbers deflated following Week 3 action. We won the first half of our parlay comfortably, Penn State pummelled Kent State 63-10 as -35 point chalk, but we stumbled badly with the Badgers as our second leg. To make matters worse, we doubled down at halftime and lost that wager as well. Hindsight is 20/20 but we should have gone the other way and accepted the push. to Sports betting lessons can be expensive – we have banked the reminder that stubborn fishing expeditions rarely end well.
Being as just nine of 62 NCAAF Top 25 matches have featured teams that were both ranked at the time, it is still slightly difficult to fully separate the National Championship contenders and pretenders. Though parlay picks always feature Saturday matchups – we are disappointed about missing out on two key Friday contests. Our Week 4 selection includes the #2 Georgia Bulldogs -13.5 (-132) over the Missouri Tigers and #12 West Virginia Mountaineers -13.5 (-192) versus Kansas State Wildcats. Both alternate price picks at SportsInteraction.
Final Scores: Georgia Bulldogs 43-29 + West Virginia Mountaineers 35-6

14/09/18 Week 3 NCAAF Update and Parlay Pick
Heading into Week 3, of the 2018-19 US College Football Season, the Bet365 National Championship futures board did not lose any squads from our last update on 08/09/18. Price changes were prevalent though as Alabama has moved further away from the pack. With another cupcake contest under their belt, a 57-7 mauling of the Arkansas State Red Wolves, the Crimson Tide (+190 to +125) lost value at Bet365. Bettors believing Alabama will win the 2019 NCAAF title, can roll with the Tide at a (+210) best value at the Bodog sportsbook.
Teams staying steady, plus others gaining value, is the mantra after that as Clemson (+450 to +550) had a price increase while Ohio State and Georgia (+800) retained third chalk status at Bet365. Despite a pair of blowouts, by a combined 79-17 count vs non-conference foes, Wisconsin (+1600 to +2000) saw their title line balloon. Rounding out the top five, Oklahoma held steady with a (+2200) NCAAF Championship futures price. We don’t see much changing in those rankings as each team gets another unranked opponent this weekend.
Our Week 2 parlay was on point as we laid reasonable ATS lines and bagged wins with Mississippi State and Stanford. Neither game was all that close after Kansas State and USC entered Week 2 action as slightly over-rated squads. Looking at the Week 3 slate, Penn State -35 (-110) at SportsInteraction, will roll against Kent State in a Noon EDT contest at Beaver Stadium. Back Wisconsin, over BYU, as the second leg as the Badgers -23 (-110) price at Bodog looks a little short in their clash with the Cougars at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI.
BYU vs Wisconsin Halftime Wager: Badgers -9.5 (-120) @ Betway (5:00 PM EDT 15/09/18)

08/09/18 Week 2 NCAAF Update and Parlay Pick
US College Football is in full swing as each team has now played at least one game. Price changes were prevalent, following the Week 1 action, though 24 of the top 25 contenders stayed on the Bet365 NCAAF Championship board. The lone team getting dumped was UCLA has the Bruins lost at home 26-17 to the unranked Cincinnati Bearcats who are carrying a (+100K) NCAAF title price. Mississippi State moves into the Bet365 Top 25 as the Bulldogs are in a group of seven teams at the bottom of with a (+6600) money line.
Alabama, who opened their season by rolling past Louisville 51-14, remain as top chalk as the Crimson Tide experienced a price drop (+225 to +190) at Bet365. Alabama doesn’t face a “contender” until they head into Death Valley to face the current #11 LSU Tigers on November 3, 2018. If you like Nick Saban & Crew, to win it all in January, buy the Tide now as they are headed to a negative number very soon. Clemson (+450) plus Ohio State and Georgia, who both have a +800 line, round out the “Big Four” who are still priced in triple digits.
Rushing into our first two selections this season (apologies for that) we opened with a single bet and parlay loss. We came back strong, and moved the bankroll back into positive territory, with our UNLV + South Carolina winning parlay ticket. Our lone play this week is a parlay that features Mississippi State -6.5 (-115) over Kansas State (08/09/18 @ Noon ET) as the first leg of our ticket. Heading out west, we are betting against USC again as we are taking Stanford -5.5 (-110) at home in contest that goes at 8:30 PM ET in Palo Alta.
Week 2 Final Scores: Mississippi State 31-10 + Stanford 17-3
31/08/18 Week 1 NCAAF Update and Parlay Pick
6:30 PM ET: Already out of the gate, with four games last week plus a thick 30/08/18 slate, the race to the 2019 NCAAF National Championship is on. Of matches already played, #21 UFC picked up where they off last year (13-0) as the Knights crushed the UConn Huskies 56-17. A second Top 25 squad gets rolling tonight as #11 Michigan State opens at home vs Utah State at 7:00 PM ET. While we won’t include them in our parlay this week, due to time constraints, we are backing the Spartans at -23.5 (-110) over the Aggies at Bet365.
9:30 AM EDT: Welcome to the first full Saturday of US College Football, which is arguably the best pigskin action on the Planet. Future NFL stars play full throttle from start to finish during every regular season match. That’s fantastic from a bettor’s perspective as monster spreads are often covered by teams that “pile on” to impress the NCAAF Playoff Selection Committee. That played out in the Knights vs Huskies contest as UFC scored twice in the fourth quarter, pushing the score to 56-10, while cruising to a -24 point cover.
As will be the case each week this season – today we deliver a Free Pick parlay on games carefully selected as the best of the bunch. In order to set up possible hedge opportunities, our selection will usually feature an early and late game from the full Saturday slate. Kicking off at Noon EDT, we see South Carolina (-29.5 -110 at SIA) cruising past Coastal Carolina as the first leg of our ticket. While an outright win is a longshot, we like the UNLV Running Rebels (+26 -110 at Bodog) to stay within the line vs the USC Trojans at 4:00 PM EDT on 01/09/18.
01/09/18 @ 3:30 PM ET: USC -24 (-110) Bet365 sets up a guaranteed pay day.
Week 1 Final Scores: Michigan State 38-31 / South Carolina 49-15 + USC 43-21
24/08/18 Opening NCAAF National Championship Odds
Welcome to the official start of the 2018-19 NCAA US College Football season. While the heavyweights won’t invade stadiums across America for another week – the race to the 2019 National Championship Playoffs begins with four low level contests on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Five FSB 1-A squads, though not very highly ranked, are part of the “First Saturday” as 1-A Subdivision squads Duquesne and Prairie View visit UMass (107) and Rice (128) at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM ET respectively. Prices are off the board on both of those contests.
Up next, Hawaii (121) rolls into the Rocky Mountains to face Colorado State (91) and Wyoming (83) wanders straight south to battle New Mexico State (114) at Aggie Memorial Stadium. While we don’t like jumping on donkeys, tying the Cowboys (-170) and Rams (-600) together is our first parlay of the new NCAAF campaign. Those not prepared to jump in just yet – this is your last chance to get in on the richest National Championship odds. Bodog is rather radical when it comes to prices as their bookmakers are offering generous lines on several Top Ten contenders.
Canuck ‘Capers can also wager on which teams will win the 28 Divisional Championships. The Power Five Conferences feature some clear cut favorites but there also a couple tight races projected. Not surprising, Alabama (-120) is ahead of Georgia (+295) to claim the SEC, Washington (EVEN) tops USC (+400) as the PAC-12 leader and Clemson (-195) owns a huge gap on Miami Florida (+550) in the ACC. Ohio State (-105) is top chalk over Wisconsin (+225) in the Big Ten while Oklahoma (+130) and Texas (+325) are the Big 12 top two.
Final Scores: Wyoming Cowboys 29-7 + Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 43-34

18/08/18 Final NCAF Preseason Futures Update
Feeling like yesterday, when Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide hoisted the 2017-18 National Championship Trophy, 222 days have passed since our last taste of US College Football action. That drought ends soon as the 2019 title game race begins on August 25, 2018. Though lacking Top 25 contenders – there are four contests on the NCAAF Opening Saturday slate. Still researching the matches, like the Hawai’i Rainbows Warriors vs Colorado State Rams game, we will be back with our first wagers of the new season on 24/08/10.
In the meantime, checking Bet365 NCAAF 2019 National Championship futures odds, we see the Champs remain as top chalk. Despite losing a Southeastern Conference record 12 players, including DB Minkah Fitzpatrick who went 11th OA to Miami, Alabama (+225) are favorites to go back-to-back after the Tide rolled to a 26-23 OT victory vs the Georgia Bulldogs on February 8, 2018. A football factory, Alabama has now lost all 11 defensive starters from their 2016 opening game roster during the last two NFL Entry Drafts.
Early in the season, we are taking a wait and see approach on the new look Saban Crew. Clemson has moved up to second chalk as the 2017 Champion Tigers Bet365 line (+800 to +600) lost one-quarter of its value. Despite the Urban Meyer scandal hovering overhead, Ohio State’s third favorite line (+700) remains unchanged since the opening odds were posted on 15/01/18. Georgia’s line (+800) also held steady while Michigan gained some value (+1000 to +1100) to round out the Top Five preseason contenders. Next Update: 24/08/18.
Final Preseason NCAAF Championship Thoughts: We still like our Wisconsin call.
15/01/18 National Championship Opening Odds
Congratulations to Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide who claimed their fifth US College Football Championship in nine years. Duly noting that Tide legend Paul Bryant won his record six titles in Tuscaloosa, Saban joins Bear thanks to five titles with Alabama and one with the LSU Tigers. Similar to the Titans NFL Wild Card win over the Chiefs, it was a tale of two halves as Alabama fought back from a 13-0 halftime deficit. We’ve seen this act before.
Rolling to a 20-7 margin in the second half, Tide WR DeVonta Smith caught a 41-tard pass from backup QB Tua Tagovailoa to earn the Crimson Tide a 26-23 OT victory. Georgia stalled after a decent first half, and settled for a field goal in OT, but the Dawgs stayed under the -4 (-110) ATS price at SportsInteraction. With the score 20-20 after four quarters, the 45.5 O/U line was pushed OVER by the TD in OT. Are Saban and Bill Belichick the same person?
With champagne spray settled, from New Year’s Eve and the 2018 National Championship match, it’s time to look towards the 2019 title fight, on January 7, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. Led by the Champs (+225), plenty of usual suspects grace the Bet365 NCAAF futures board. Ohio State (+700) Georgia and Clemson (+800) plus Michigan (+1000) round out the Top Five opening odds list. Check back in mid-August for weekly NCAAF upates.
Opening Odds Advice: Our first investment is on the Wisconsin (+2500) price @ Bet365.
Canadian Sportsbooks Are Top Wagering Options
Entertaining and going strong since 1961, in a Nation populated by just 36 million people, U Sports Canada (previously Canadian Interuniversity Sport) pales to the huge USA college football programs. 03/01/18 National Championship Odds Update
One final fight, this one for all the marbles, remains on the 2017 USA College Football slate. Following their respective Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl victories, #3 Georgia will battle #4 Alabama in the NCAAF National Championship game on January 8, 2018. Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in Atlanta, GA, hosts the title match and kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET. The Bulldogs posted a massive comeback during their 54-48 (2OT) victory over the #2 ranked Oklahoma Sooners and the Crimson Tide rolled over the #1 ranked Clemson Tigers 24-6.
Happy we backed up our Oklahoma National Championship ticket, which is now trash, we are not very excited about the Dawgs chances. If you have been following our advice, you have a shot at a 1400 unit return if Georgia wins and a -600 loss if Alabama takes the title. Being as the Tide are -185 money line chalk at Bet365, there isn’t much room to guarantee a profit. If you want to eliminate the loss risk, like we are doing, backing Alabama with 1200 units will earn a 48.65 return on ‘Bama and a 200 unit profit if the Dawgs roll past the Tide.
Final Score: Alabama Crimson Tide 26-23 (OT)
Bankers Note: This hedge saved the investments in Oklahoma (200) and Georgia (400).
30/12/17 NCAA Football Semi-Final Playoff Update
NCAA College Football Bowl season is winding down and the playoffs are about to hit center stage. The 104th Rose Bowl hosts the first semi-final clash featuring #2 Oklahoma Sooners vs #3 Georgia Bulldogs at 5:00 PM ET on January 1, 2018. That is followed by #1 Clemson and #4 Alabama playing in a trilogy tussle when the Tigers and Crimson Tide meet in the 84th Sugar Bowl at 6:45 PM ET. Bet365 bookmakers have left their title odds unchanged as Alabama continues to lead the way as top chalk – although we really don’t understand why.
As mentioned a few times this season – the Crimson Tide rolled through a largely cream-puff filled schedule that included the likes of Mercer, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Arkansas who had a combined 18-29 record this season. Plus, the Tide have key injuries on defense and they get a red-hot Clemson Crew in the semi-finals. We understand the experience and skill ‘Bama head coach Nick Saban brings to the table but we don’t see that being enough to get Alabama their fourth National Championship in seven years. View our semi-final picks here.

09/12/17 NCAAF Heisman Trophy Presentation Update
Except for the Army vs Navy clash, a rivalry battle that began way back in 1890, all is quiet on the NCAAF front for the first time since the season opened on August 26, 2017. Apart from that, the other big US College football event today is the announcement of the Heisman Trophy winner in New York. Forecast to be one of the biggest landslide wins ever, Oklahoma Sooners QB Baker Mayfield is expected to take home the hardware. Mayfield, who we selected as a +701 underdog in the preseason, is now a monster -3300 favorite at Bet365.
Louisville QB Lamar Jackson, who won the award last season, and Stanford RB Bryce Love are the other two finalist and they both have a gaudy +1400 money line price at Bet365. Taking a quick look back on the 2017 regular season, we are proud of our numbers as our two team parlays finished with a profit taking 7-8 mark. We also posted a 21-10-2 ATS record and went 31-2-0 on our 33 straight up selections. Additionally, our Oklahoma (+1400) NCAAF National Championship call is still alive and the Final Four Playoffs begin on January 1, 2018.
Breaking 9:00 PM ET: Congratulations QB Baker Mayfield 2017 Heisman Trophy Winner.
01/12/17 NCAAF Conference Championship Weekend Predictions
Conference Final Weekend is upon us and the Power Five title games could all have an affect on the Final Four NCAAF Playoff rankings. Being as no school that plays outside of the SEC, Big 12, ACC, Big Ten or, to a lessor degree the Pac-12, will get to the National Championship Dance – let’s focus in on those five battles. The action begins tonight as Levi’s Stadium hosts the #10 USC Trojans versus #12 Stanford Cardinal in the Pac-12 Championship title clash.
Pac-12 Championship: USC Trojans over Standford Cardinal -4 (-110) at Bet365
Clashing for the second this season, Stanford looks to avenge their 42-24 loss to USC back on 9/9/17, at the LA Memorial Coliseum. Cardinal RB Bryce Love had 160 rushing yards and one TD while Trojan RB Ronald Jones II showed signs of things to come with 126 total yards and two scores. Stanford (9-3) closed their season with a 38-20 win over Notre Damn while USC (10-2) held off UCLA 28-23. The Trojans need a win and help to make the Final Four.
Final Score: USC Trojans 31-28
Big 12 Championship: Oklahoma Sooners over TCU Horned Frogs -7 (-110) at William Hill
Another match that features a regular season rematch has Oklahoma facing TCU in the Big 12 Championship that goes at 12:30 PM ET at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The Sooners jumped out to a 31-14 halftime lead and were never challenged by the Horned Frogs during their 38-20 win back on 11/11/17. Leading Heisman Trophy candidate QB Baker Mayfield has never lost to TCU over three games as a Sooner. We see that trend continuing in this match.
Final Score: Oklahoma Sooners 41-17
SEC Championship: Georgia Bulldogs over Auburn Tigers -1 (-105) at SportsInteraction
Meeting for the second time in 22 days, and first time ever in the SEC Championship game, Georgia looks to make up for their only loss of the season – a 40-17 drubbing by Auburn at Jordan–Hare Stadium in Week 11. That loss stymied the Bulldogs National Championship hopes but a win here would put them back on track. A win by Auburn would keep the Tigers in the Final Four. This contest goes at 4:00 PM ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA.
Final Score: Georgia Bulldogs 28-7
Big Ten Championship: Ohio State Buckeyes over Wisconsin Badgers -6 (-110) at Betway
As the lone undefeated Power Five team, Wisconsin (12-0) can punch their ticket to the Final Four with a win over Ohio State (10-2) in the Big Ten Championship that kicks off at 8:00 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. While it does not need to be an overwhelming victory, the Badgers fairly soft regular season schedule means they must win to get into the playoffs while the two-loss Buckeyes need a win and help to get a nod from the Committee.
Final Score: Ohio State 27-21 (PUSH)
ACC Championship: Clemson Tigers over Miami Hurricanes -10 (-110) at Bodog
Feeling pretty good about their season, including their flashy golden Turnover Chain and all, Miami (10-1) fell back to earth with a thud after the Hurricanes lost 24-14 to Pitt last week. Now the ‘Canes have to get up off the mat and face defending National Champion Clemson (11-1) in the ACC title contest at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. The Tigers lone loss was an ugly one as well as they fell 27-24 in Syracuse.
Final Score: Clemson Tigers 38-3
Best Bet Two-Team Parlay: Oklahoma Sooners (-7) + Clemson Tigers (-10)
30/11/17 Week 14 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Welcome to Conference Final Weekend! Quoting Keith Jackson, the voice of US College Football, Whoa, Nellie! Rivalry Week rocked the NCAAF Championship picture right off the wall. We aren’t going to spend a lot of time highlighting the changes as the numbers in our futures table above speak for themselves. Following losses by #1 Alabama and #2 Miami last week – the Week 13 rankings from the Playoff Committee has Clemson vs Wisconsin and Auburn vs Oklahoma as the projected Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl playoff matchups.
Tumbling down the Committee’s board, the Crimson Tide (#1 to #5) and Hurricanes (#2 to #7) both need help during Conference Final Saturday to earn a Final Four berth. If they don’t get help, we can’t see the Committee changing their Week 13 rankings. After three SEC Championship wins, by a combined 125-44 margin, Alabama is on the sidelines cheering for Georgia first and then Ohio State and/or TCU to win their respective games this weekend. A lot would have to happen to get Miami to the Big Dance so it’s best to avoid the ‘Canes.
It’s a muddled mess as illustrated at the top four Canada Sports Betting NCAAF bookmakers. Understanding all of the variances is a difficult task as we have never seen anything quite like this. From the sportsbooks perspective, Auburn is top chalk at Bet3565 and Betway, while Alabama and Oklahoma have the top perch at SIA and Bodog respectively. That in itself is crazy. Wisconsin, the lone undefeated “Power Five” team, is seventh across the board in our image below. We are content with our preseason Oklahoma Sooners prediction at this point.
24/11/17 Week 13 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving to our Friends in the United States – we are thankful that NCAAF Rivalry Weekend has arrived! Following a rather dull Week 12 slate, #24 Michigan vs #5 Wisconsin was the lone Top 25 battle, the National Championship Playoff Committee left their postseason rankings pretty much intact. Alabama (10-0) is still on top, Miami (9-0) and Clemson (9-1) flipped the second and third positions, while Oklahoma (10-1) retained the fourth seed. Led by Wisconsin (10-0) the five through ten positions went unchanged.
Bookmakers at SIA didn’t move their top three favorites as Alabama (-200) Oklahoma (+500) and Clemson (+800) outscored their highly inferior opponents by a 158-6 final count. Ohio State, priced at +8500 two weeks ago, moves into the fourth favorite slot. That price plunge (+1500 to +800) suggests the Buckeyes will beat the Badgers in the Big Ten Championship and someone in the top four playoff list will stumble. After struggling some versus Virginia, the Cavaliers held a 28-14 third quarter lead, Miami (+800 to +1000) had their line inflated.
CSB Futures Picks Update & NCAAF Week 13 Parlay
Strong out of the gate, our parlay picks continue to be dogged by close non-covers. Colorado State had a 606 to 339 yards edge on offence but the Rams 42-14 win over the San Jose Stats Spartans failed to cover the -32 ATS line. Working both ways at times, we had a close cover as Oklahoma scored 34 unanswered points during their 41-3 win over the Kansas Jayhawks to cover the -37.5 spread by a half point. Oklahoma State losing 45-40 to Kansas Sate crushed our Cowboys title ticket though Oklahoma and TCU (just barley) are still alive.
Positive news shows our parlay bankroll is up 788 units while single bet wagers are 17-8-1 ATS and 24-2-0 S/U. The Cowboys loss was offset when the Sooners went OVER 9.5 regular season wins. If Baker Mayfield doesn’t get sacked, for grabbing his sack, we are in solid shape on our preseason Heisman pick as Bet365 currently has Mayfield (-700) as runaway chalk over Lamar Jackson (+500) in that race. Florida Atlantic -21.5 (-110) over Charlotte and Georgia -11 (-110) over Georgia Tech, a pair of road warriors, is our Week 13 parlay.
Final Scores: Florida Atlantic Owls 31-12 + Georgia Bulldogs 38-8
17/11/17 Week 12 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Once crowded, with sixty plus teams, the SportsInteraction US College Football futures board has been reduced to just 14 hopefuls. Although upsets can still happen, we suggest looking past the top six squads is probably not wise at this point. Alabama, who rallied late to get past Mississippi State 31-24 last week, retain top chalk status as the Crimson Tide (-200) line went unchanged. After that though, paraphrasing Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan, “the lines they are a-changing” on the third of five NCAAF National Championship playoff ranking lists.
Oklahoma, who were tagged at a monster +4000 NCAAF title line just two weeks ago, have moved into the second favorite position as the Sooners (+1000 to +500) lost half their value. Clemson (+800) held steady but the Miami Hurricanes joined the Tigers in the third chalk spot. After pounding #1 Georgia 40-17 Auburn’s title line fell (+5000 to +1000) while the Bulldogs price (+500 to +1200) was jacked up. Sitting at 10-0 Wisconsin dropped (+2000 to +1200) and the Badgers are on course to meet Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.
We suffered our first 0-2 ATS mark of the season as Georgia lost outright and Alabama won but failed to cover. While never happy with losses, our ledger is still in the green and our five NCAAF futures wagers are still alive – though the Oklahoma State Cowboys and TCU Horned Frogs picks are barely breathing. Looking at the prices at Bet365, we are laying a couple very thick lines on our Week 12 parlay ticket. We are backing Colorado State -32 (-110) at home over San Jose State and Oklahoma -37.5 (-110) to roll over Kansas on the road in Lawrence.
Final Scores: Colorado State Rams 42-14 + Oklahoma Sooners 41-3
10/11/17 Week 11 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
How was your weekend last week? We are betting it was better than the one endured by a couple of teams in the Big Ten Conference as Ohio State and Penn State lost to perceived “inferior opponents”. Those losses sent the Buckeyes (#6 to #13) and Nittany Lions (#7 to #14) tumbling down the College Football Playoff Rankings list and crushed their National Championship hopes. However, the more things change – the more they stay the same as Alabama (-125 to -200) retained their overall favorite status on our NCAAF futures board.
Georgia, 9-0 in the SEC East, replaces Ohio State as the second seed and the Bulldogs (+900 to +500) lost almost half their value. Notre Dame fended off a late charge by Wake Forest, during a 48-37 home win, and the Fighting Irish (+1800 to +800) moved into the third chalk spot at SportsInteraction. Defending Champion Clemson trailed NC State at halftime but posted a 38-31 win and the Tigers (+1200 to +800) round out the top four contenders. As far as our Week 10 picks go; a backdoor cover stung us for the second time in three weeks.
Futures Betting Update + Bet365 Parlay Pick
Checking our futures tickets, with the Oklahoma vs TCU monster match on tap Saturday, we are riding a fine line. A Sooners win improves the stock of our National Championship call, QB Baker Mayfield Heisman Trophy pick, and the Sooners would be one win from surpassing their 9.5 total line. If the Horned Frogs leap over the Sooners, on the road in Norman, two of the three picks take a hit but TCU (+4000) is revived – somewhat. Oklahoma State still has a razor thin Championship chance but that ticket is teetering on the edge of the trash can rim.
Notre Dame gave up an average of 7.1 second half points during their first eight games but the Demon Deacons scored 27 points over the final 30 minutes and the Irish failed to cover. Oklahoma won a 62-52 thriller vs rival Oklahoma State but it wasn’t enough as our parlay record fell to 5-5-1. Still showing a solid profit – we are sporting 16-5-1 ATS and 21-1 S/U marks. Our Week 11 parlay, played at Bet365, has Georgia -2 (-110) taking out Auburn on the road at Jordan–Hare Stadium and Alabama -13.5 (-110) covering at Mississippi State.
Final Scores: Auburn Tigers 40-17 + Alabama Crimson Tide 31-24
03/11/17 Week 10 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Currently on a collision course to meet on January 8, 2018, there is Alabama (-120 to -125) Ohio State (+500 to +350) and everyone else on our National Championship betting board. Despite being on a BYE, the Crimson Tide price shrunk ever so slightly heading into Week 10 action. Following their thrilling 39-38 win, vs Big Ten rival Penn State, SportsInteraction bookmakers cut the Buckeyes second favorite odds almost in half. Though it was a tight loss, to a top NCAAF team, the Nittany Lions (+700 to +2500) dropped from third to sixth chalk.
Georgia continues to shine, on both sides of the ball, and their 42-7 gashing of the Florida Gators moved the Bulldogs (+1000 to +900) into third overall. Clemson’s pedestrian 24-10 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets raised the Tigers (+1000 to +1200) fourth favorite line. Surprisingly, despite pummelling NC State 35-14, Notre Dame odds went unchanged as the Fighting Irish (+1800) move into the fifth favorite slot. The NCAAF Playoff Committee see things differently however, as they released their first batch of rankings on Halloween night.
Those rankings will determine the Final Four squads and they have Georgia on top followed by Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Oklahoma and Ohio State. Our Week 9 picks called the winning teams (Georgia/Wisconsin) but we lost our parlay wager when the Badgers failed to cover the -27 spread during a 24-10 win against Illinois. The Week 10 slate is huge as seven games feature top-25 squads battling each other. We are taking Oklahoma +1.5 (-110) over Oklahoma State and Notre Dame -14.5 (-110) to roll at home vs Wake Forest.
Final Scores: Oklahoma Sooners 62-52 + Notre Dame Fighting Irish 48-37
27/10/17 Week 9 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Anticipating the first of six College Football Playoff rankings, that will come out on October 31, 2017, Week 9 of the NCAAF season is upon us. SportsInteraction have been posting their list since the preseason and their numbers are posted above. As it’s been since June, Alabama (-111 to -120) continues to lead the way as the Crimson Tide have rolled through a very simple schedule. Ohio State, who have outscored their last five opponents by a 266-56 margin, retains the second chalk position as the Buckeyes (+500) price went unchanged.
Fresh off a 42-13 mashing of Big Ten rival Michigan, Penn State leaked value as the Nittany Lions third favorite line (+800 to +700) dropped a dime. Licking their wounds during a BYE, after a 27-24 loss to Syracuse in Week 7, Clemson saw their National Championship price (+900 to +1000) increase slightly. Georgia (+1000) held firm and the Bulldogs are tied with the Tigers as fifth favorites. Notre Dame (+1800) who were off our board last week, charged all the way up to the sixth chalk slot. We don’t recommend buying the Fighting Irish odds.
CSB Week 8 picks both won but the South Florida Bulls (-11.5) were outscored 14-0 in the fourth quarter and they failed to cover during a 34-28 win over Tulane. Our other selection, Central Florida, posted a 31-21 victory against Navy. Our parlay picks are up 1179 units as we look at Week 9 action at the Bet365 sportsbook. Solid on both sides of the ball, we see the Georgia Bulldogs rolling as -13.5 chalk vs the Florida Gators. The second half of our parlay has the Wisconsin Badgers covering the -27 (-110) line in Illinois versus the Fighting Illini.
Final Scores: Georgia Bulldogs 42-7 + Wisconsin Badgers 24-10
20/10/17 Week 8 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Tagged as ho-hum by some, with no top-25 teams facing each other, Week 7 of the NCAAF season was loaded with upsets. #2 Clemson and #8 Washington State were the first to fall as they lost to unranked Syracuse and California respectively on Friday night. Saturday saw #5 Washington, #10 Auburn and #19 San Diego State crash as chalk. With the dust now settled, Alabama has moved (+120 to -111) into negative price territory and they widened the gap on the rest of the field. Simply stated, the Crimson Tide continue to feast on cream puffs.
Ohio State is also in the pastry section, as they haven’t faced a ranked team since they lost to Oklahoma 31-16 in Week 2. The Buckeyes are now second National Championship chalk (+750 to +500) after they crushed Nebraska 56-14. Penn State is up a notch (+1000 to +800) but, after enjoying cupcakes of their own, the Nittany Lions begin a Big Ten run vs Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State. Clemson lost starting QB Kelly Bryant, during a upset 27-24 loss to the Orange, and the Tigers tumbled (+375 to +900) from second to fourth favorite.
NC State winning, Michigan pushing and Washington State losing, resulted in a Week 7 push after we backed up the Cougars crash with a Wolfpack plus Wolverines ticket on Saturday. Michigan letting Indiana hang around, and giving up points for the first time in Q4 all season, meant our parlay was reduced to a single bet which covered our loss on Friday. With our parlay picks up 1279 units, we are playing with house money the rest of the way. Our Week 8 two-team ticket is Central Florida -7.5 over Navy plus South Florida -11.5 over Tulane.
Final Scores: UCF Golden Knights 31-21 + South Florida Bulls 34-28
12/10/17 Week 7 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Checking our NCAAF playoff futures board, Alabama (+125 to +120) is still prohibitive chalk. The Crimson Tide (6-0) continues to roll – winning by a 258-52 margin. That said, after facing then #3 Florida in Week 1, Nick Saban’s Crew will not meet a ranked team until they visit current #10 Auburn in Week 12. Clemson retains second favorite status but the defending Champs (+350 to +375) gained value. Ohio State (+750) Penn State (+1000) USC (+1600) round out the top five. Largely unchallenged, during a 5-0 run, TCU is an add this week.
NCAAF Championship Add: TCU Horned Frogs (+4000) One-Unit at SportsInteraction
Snapping a sweet run, country music superstar Garth Brooks sums it up best; It was bound to happen and one night it did. We endured a bleak Week 6 NCAAF Saturday, as our 5-0 parlay streak ended. Our National Championship call also took a hit as Oklahoma mystifyingly lost 38-31 at home to Iowa State. The loss as (-30) chalk, to an unranked team with a backup QB, is not the end of the world but it won’t sit well with the selection committee. If Baker Mayfield & Co. sweep a brutally tough Week 9 to 11 slate – our playoff hopes remain alive.
First intuition is an underrated key to successful handicapping. As an example, following our comprehensive research journey through the NCAAF Week 5 maze, we filtered our choices down to six teams. After selecting the Miami Hurricanes and San Diego State Aztecs, as our first choices at Bet365, we totally changed it up. We bagged winning teams with Wisconsin and Virginia Tech but the Hokies offense sputtered and we lost our ATS wager. Moving on, we like Washington State (-14) vs California on Friday + NC State (-11) over Pittsburgh.
Please Note: We normally stick to Saturday contests. If you miss the WSC vs CAL contest, we suggest adding Michigan (-7) to win versus Indiana to the NC State Wolfpack selection.
Final Scores: Washington State Cougars 3-37 + NC State Wolfpack 35-17
Final Scores: NC State Wolfpack 35-17 + Michigan Wolverines 27-20 (OT) PUSH
6/10/17 Week 6 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Sneaking one past us, the NCAAF Week 6 slate opened on Wednesday. Full disclosure, we were pretty busy welcoming the start of MLB World Series chase, the dawn of a new NHL season, plus the playoff chase in the CFL. With all that under control, our focus turns back to US College football action. Our National Championship futures board changed significantly, and shrunk week over week, as the cream is rapidly rising to the top. Alabama continues to lead the parade as the Crimson Tide (+175 to +125) are closing in on an negative line.
Cutting our futures board down to 16 contenders, defending Champion Clemson (+500 to +350) lost value and kept their grip on the second spot. Ohio State (+1000 to +800) moved from fifth to third while Oklahoma (+800 to +1000) gained value but retained the fourth favorite slot. Following their 30-27 loss to Washington State, USC (+800 to +1600) tumbled from second to ninth. We are now just three weeks from the College Football Playoff Selection Committee announcing their first of six weekly rankings on October 31, 2017.
Sitting with a 5-0 parlay mark, after we banked wins with Georgia and Clemson, let’s keep the good times rolling. After wagering against them last week, we feel Virginia Tech will rebound against Boston College. Bet365 has the Hokies posted as -16.5 (-110) chalk on the road in Chestnut Hill against an injury riddled Eagles squad. As was the case three weeks ago, we are tying Wisconsin to our Virginia Tech selection. After Northwestern made things interesting late last week, expect the Badgers to make a statement versus the Cornhuskers. Wisconsin is -10.5 (-110) point favorites as they head into Lincoln to battle Nebraska.
Final Scores: Virginia Tech 23-10 + Wisconsin Badgers 38-17
29/09/17 Week 5 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Important contests get the NCAAF week off to an early start as #14 Miami duels Duke at 7:00 PM ET and then #16 Washington State hosts #5 USC in Pullman, WA, at 10:30 PM ET for an epic Pac-12 clash tonight. Shake it up was the mantra following the fifth Saturday of US College football as several teams had position and/or price moves. Alabama is still top chalk at SportsInteraction but the Crimson Tide (+150 to +175) had a minor price gain. Clemson moved into the second chalk spot as the Tigers price (+900 to +500) dropped again.
Unchanged price wise, with a +800 NCAAF Championship line, Oklahoma is third favorite while USC (+650 to +800) dropped two spots to fourth overall. Ohio State (+1200 to +1000) is just ahead of Georgia as the Bulldogs (+1200) moved into a three-way tie with Penn State and Michigan to round out the Elite Eight. Following an impressive 44-31 win in Stillwater, over Oklahoma State, the TCU Horned Frogs leaped onto our NCAAF futures board with a 13th OA +3300 line. The Cowboys odds (+1200 to +2200) and title hopes both took a hit.
Trailblazing a winning parlay path, our record moved to 4-0 after Cal got in under the -17 spread vs USC and Washington State whacked Nevada last Saturday. After examining the Bet365 odds offerings this weekend, we like Georgia and Clemson who are both thick road chalk. The Bulldogs head into Neyland Stadium in Tennessee to face the Volunteers as -8 (-110) favorites while the Tigers will tangle with the Virginia Tech Hokies as -7 (-110) chalk at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, VA. Bet a Bulldogs + Tigers parlay at the Bet365 sportsbook.
Final Scores: Georgia Bulldogs 41-0 + Clemson Tigers 31-17
22/09/17 Week 4 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Heading into the fifth Saturday of thrilling NCAA US College football action one could argue, with full merits, that the future NFL players are putting on a better show than their current big league counterparts. High stakes battles have been plentiful during the first four weeks and our NCAAF National Championship futures board is reflective of that as the numbers are constantly changing. Though their price remained unchanged, Alabama (+150) still pulled away some as USC (+600 to +650) and Oklahoma (+700 to +800) both had price gains.
Struggling and banged up, during their 27-24 OT win vs Texas last week, we can understand the Trojans price inflating but Oklahoma rolled lowly Tulane 56-14 so we feel they should have passed USC on our futures board. Following an impressive 47-21 lashing of Louisville, Clemson (+1400 to +900) has moved into the fourth favorite position while the Cardinals (+2500 to +8000) National Championship hopes took a huge hit and they are toast. Ohio State and Oklahoma State are tied as fifth chalk with a +1200 ML. We still love the Sooners.
Three full Saturday’s in, we are pleased with our parlay picks that moved to 3-0 thanks to easy wins by Wisconsin and Virginia Tech last week. USC is hurting after barely beating Texas and we feel -17 (-110) is too many points against a rising Cal Crew. Following losses to teams ranked 50, 51, 64, the Nevada Wolf Pack head north to face #18 Washington State as -28 (-110) pups. We are tying the Bears +17 (-110) and Cougars -28 (-110) together as we aim to earn an extra 5% parlay bonus by placing our bet at the Bet365 online sportsbook.
Final Scores: USC Trojans 30-20 (Bears Cover) + Washington State Cougars 45-7
15/09/17 Week 3 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Another exciting slate of US College football has arrived as we hit Week 4 of the NCAAF season. As the CSB futures board illustrates, teams have moved all over the map through three weeks of play. Despite a 41-10 non-cover win (vs Fresno State) Alabama saw their line drop from +260 to +150 as the Crimson Tide retained the top National Championship perch. After a 42-24 stifling of #14 Stanford, USC (+600) is back in the second chalk spot.
Oklahoma went into the Horseshoe and bashed Ohio State 31-16 last week. The Sooners (+1400 to +700) are now third favorites while the Buckeyes (+575 to +900) tumbled from second to fourth chalk. Michigan, Penn State and Clemson are all tied as fifth favs with a +1400 money line. After a dismal day on offense, during a 14-6 loss to Clemson, Auburn suffered the biggest fall as they plummeted from +1800 to +7500 at SportsInteraction.
Our parlay picks moved to 2-0 after Michigan State and Oklahoma rolled to easy wins last week. A pair of big road favorites have caught our eye as #10 Wisconsin and #16 Virginia Tech face BYU and East Carolina. The Badgers are -16.5 chalk over the Cougars and the Hokies are -23 favorites vs the Pirates. Both lines are substantial but this is College football and style points count. Back the Badgers and Hokies on a two-team parlay ticket.
Final Scores: Wisconsin Badgers 40-6 + Virginia Tech Hokies 64-17
09/09/17 Week 2 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
After the first full week of NCAA College football action, there were some fairly substantial moves on our National Championship futures board. The biggest mover was Florida State who where manhandled by Alabama and lost star QB Deondre Francois for the season in the process. The Seminoles price went from +750 all the way up to +2500 and, although they have a decent defense, we feel you can put a fork in the ‘Noles 2017 season – they are done.
Following a solid 49-21 dousing of Indiana, plus a lacklustre 49-31 USC win over Western Michigan, Ohio State moved past the Trojans (+750) as the Buckeyes (+575) are now second chalk on the CSB futures board. Michigan, Penn State, and our preseason favorite Oklahoma, all had price reductions and sit in the three-way tie as third chalk at +1400. Clemson, Auburn and Oklahoma State round out the top seven with a +1800 NCAA Championship price.
We got off to a hot start with our parlay picks as Alabama and Michigan both won easily. After leaving it all on the field last week versus USC, we see Western Michigan coming up flat against Michigan State -7.5 (-110) today. We’ll take the lofty +7.5 SportsInteraction line and back Oklahoma as they visit Ohio State to battle the Buckeyes in the biggest game on the Week 3 NCAAF slate. Bet the Spartans and Sooners on a two-team parlay ticket.
Final Scores: Michigan State Spartans 28-14 + Oklahoma Sooners 31-16
02/09/17 Week 1 NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
On the heels of a five-game NCAAF Division 1 slate of games last Saturday, the US College Football Saturday Express rolls out of the station fully loaded for Week 2 on September 2, 2017. Before we get to the games, regular readers will notice that our NCAAF futures board has shrunk some since our Week 1 update. For practicality sake, we could drop this to a Top 12 list but we will watch how the season opens prior to knocking off any more pretenders.
Alabama gained a dime to their line (+240 to +250) but the Crimson Tide remain as runaway chalk – similar to the NFL New England Patriots. A notable mover, Oklahoma State (+2800 to +2500) stock is still shrinking and we are pleased that we caught their +2800 price last week. Clemson enters the season with a cupcake contest against Kent State as the Golden Flashes will tangle with Tigers as -40 point underdogs at Memorial Stadium in South Carolina.
Although #11 Michigan facing #17 Florida (in Jerry Land at AT&T Stadium) will be a huge fight, nationally televised #1 Alabama vs #3 Florida State is the epic battle during Week 2. Bodog bookmakers have the Wolverines (-5.5) as favorites over the Gators while the Tide (-7.5) are home chalk at Bryant–Denny Stadium over the Seminoles. Laying both lines and tying the Tide to the Maze & Blue is our top parlay bet this week. Stay tuned for updates!
Final Scores: Michigan Wolverines 33-17 + Alabama Crimson Tide 24-7
24/08/17 Week 1A NCAAF National Championship Futures Odds Update
Splitting the halfway point of the 2017 CFL campaign, and the start of NFL Week 1 action, the race to the NCAA Football National Championship Playoff Party begins this weekend. While it’s a fairly quiet Opening Day, with just five contests on the slate, #14 Stanford and #19 South Florida both begin their season as they face Rice and San José State respectively. The Cardinal (-31) and Bulls (-22) should both roll as thick chalk over the Owls and Spartans. NCAAF Week 1 odds can be found at any of the CSB top recommended sportsbooks.
While position changes were few, price changes were plentiful since our last update. Most of that comes from the top 16 separating some from the next 16 on our futures table above. Oklahoma State was a big mover as the Cowboys price dropped from +4000 to +2800. We still like our Oklahoma Sooners (+1400) NCAAF Championship call but the Cowboys riding into the season on an upward rise is a little concerning though. Feeling a Oklahoma team will claim the Big 12 title, add a 100-unit wager on the Oklahoma State (+2800) money line.
05/8/17 NCAAF Preseason National Championship Futures Odds Update
Sprinting through summer – we are now just three weeks away from the start of the 2017 USA NCAA football season. While it doesn’t receive the same hype generated by the NFL, the 130 teams that make up the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision are hard at work prepping for the upcoming season. Bookmakers at SportsInteraction are following the progress, as their NCAAF National Championship odds will change throughout the course of the season. The action gets rolling with the Oregon State @ Colorado State clash on August 26, 2017.
Since our last update (27/06/17) the numbers have remained steady at the top as Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State and USC remain as the top four 2018 NCAA Playoff contenders. In the middle of the pack, Clemson and Washington University both saw their lines grow from +2500 to +2800 while Florida (+4000 to +3300) and Oklahoma (+5000 to +4000) both saw their prices shrink. The biggest mover was Stanford as the Cardinal odds plummeted from +3000 to +8000 . Four “hopeful” underdog squads were bumped out of our Top 34 list.
When the US College action kicks off, the CFL will be into Week 11 and the NFL will be five days away from the Opening Night fight that features New England hosting Kansas City. MLB and MLS playoff races will also be hot tickets as the baseball and soccer regular season slates will be entering their final weeks. We still like our Oklahoma (+1400) Championship call and the Sooners winning more than 9.5 contests. If you want to place an NCCAF futures bet – the bookmakers in our Top Five list below are the best in the online betting business.
27/6/17 NCAAF Preseason National Championship Futures Odds Update
As our NCAA Football futures odds illustrate – Alabama enters the 2017 College Football season as favorites to claim the National Championship with a meager +350 ML. Similar to the NFL New England Patriots, the Crimson Tide never rebuild – they just reload. That is especially true in the Nick Saban era as The Tide have rolled to four titles since he took over as head coach in 2007. Ignoring the somewhat silly practice of taking wins away from teams, due to rule violations, Alabama has a sparkling 893-317-44 record dating back to 1892.
Perennial contenders, Ohio State is posted as second chalk on the preseason NCAAF title futures board at SportsInteraction. The Buckeyes (+600) last won NCAAF Championship in 2015 during the first year of the current playoff format. Not far behind “The U” the Florida State Seminoles and USC Trojans or tied as third favorites with a +700 money line. The drop off is fairly steep after that as the Oklahoma Sooners and Penn State Nittany Lions round out the Top Five choices with a (+1400) line prior to the start of the season on August 26, 2017.
Looking at underdog squads – defending Champion Clemson University has fallen out of the top ten on our NCAAF futures board as they head into the season with a (+2500) money line. Led by QB Deshaun Watson, now with NFL Houston Texans, the Tigers claimed the 2016 Championship thanks to a thrilling 35-31 victory over Alabama on January 9, 2017. Notre Dame, another regular upper echelon favorite – though we rarely understand why, has fallen to 18th overall as the Fighting Irish are currently tagged with a huge (+5000) ML price.
CSB Preseason 2018 NCAAF Championship Pick: Two-Units Oklahoma Sooners (+1400)
Additional NCAAF Futures Betting Options
There are tons of additional futures lines available prior to the start of every new college football season. Checking out the current offerings, posted at SportsInteraction, the “Total Team Wins” wagering lines have caught our attention. In particular Oklahoma, with a 9.5 Over/Under win total, is a super solid bet to go OVER with a (-137) price. The Sooners went 11-1 in 2015 and 10-2 last season. A game at The Horseshoe, versus the Buckeyes in Ohio, appears to be one of few major hurdles Oklahoma will face during the 2017 regular season.
Early Heisman Trophy MVP odds are also posted at SIA and USC QB Sam Darnold is currently runaway top chalk with a +275 ML. Darnold had a hand in 33 touchdowns during ten starts as a freshman last year. Taking over as the starter in Week 4, Darnold guided the Trojans to a 9-1 record – including a five TD performance against Penn State during the world-famous Rose Bowl game. Sticking with our Oklahoma path, we like QB Baker Mayfield (+701) to win the equivalent of the NFL MVP award during his final season in the Sooner State.
Congrats to 12-1 Oklahoma and 2017 Heisman Trophy Winner QB Baker Mayfield.
