When the Miami Marlins came into the league back in 1993, they were one of the rare expansion franchises that experienced plenty of success in their infancy. It didn’t happen right out of the gate for Miami as those first few years were rough, but by the end of the 2003 season the organization already had two World Series championships on their resume. Those were clearly the high points for this organization though.
The Marlins haven’t been back to the playoffs since 2003. Yet, even with plenty of losing seasons in their recent past, Miami Marlins odds are still ones bettors should keep an eye on each year because they can turn a profit if you look (and find) the right things.

Bet On Miami Marlins Games
Entering the 2016 season, the Miami Marlins haven’t had a winning campaign since they finished the 2009 season with a 87-75 SU record. There have been a lot of trying seasons for the Marlins since then and the fact that their owner is known as one of the cheaper ones in baseball, attracting talented free agents to improve the team has been rough.
Betting-wise, things haven’t been any better as the Marlins finished the 2015 season with a -14.1 unit mark on the year. That was a decided drop-off from a break-even campaign in 2014, but 2013 saw Miami finish at a -14 unit mark and the 2012 season had them at -24.7 units for the year.
Needless to say, bettors that have consistently bet against Miami the past few years have made a tidy profit. The future outlook for the Marlins is a little better with the likes of P Jose Fernandez and OF Giancarlo Stanton hitting their primes soon, but it still remains to be seen if Miami will be able to hold onto those two studs when contract talks arise.
Many MLB pundits strongly believe that the Marlins organization is more about turning a profit than winning games and as MLB bettors, turning a profit with this team means you’re more likely to bet against them than on them right now.
