UFC 205 McGregor vs Alvarez Betting Odds
| LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE
|Eddie Alvarez (USA)
||Conor McGregor (IRL)
Conor McGregor is back at it again chasing history as he hopes to be the first UFC fighter to hold two titles simultaneously. The reigning featherweight champion is coming off a closely fought victory over rival Nate Diaz and is now focused on Eddie Alvarez's newly won lightweight title. The two have traded insults throughout the buildup but will finally settle the score. McGregor comes in as a slight favourite holding the striking and power advantage although Alvarez will have the wrestling and endurance edge.
Conor McGregor vs Eddie Alvarez Prediction
Bet McGregor (-140) at SportsInteraction. McGregor said, "if you're the same height, same weight, same reach, you're dead." The brash Irishman will have a size, reach and power advantage over Alvarez but must learn to defend Alvarez's wrestling attacks and properly measure his endurance. If the fight stays standing for a significant portion of the first two rounds, McGregor will knock out Alvarez. The defending champion is too easily hit and hasn't been hit by someone like McGregor. Make it a history-making event for the Notorious one.
UFC 205 Undercard Preview And Predictions
The UFC 205 prelims are also stacked and features a former champion in Frankie Edgar, a number-one's contender fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Johnson and two longtime fan favourites, Jim Miller and Thiago Alves. Edgar will have his hands full against knockout artist, Jeremy Stephens. These are high-level fights usually found in main cards but are free on TV before the PPV. The other fights show case hometown fighters Rafael Natal and Katlyn Chookagian taking on Tim Boetsch and Liz Carmouche, respectively. Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad are two action fighters who could steal the show.

UFC 205 Most Valuable Prop Bets
Woodley wins by T/KO (+315, SportsInteraction): It's rare that a defending champion is the underdog in a fight and that shows how skilled Thompson is in comparison to Woodley. The karate-kickboxing specialist has confounded every opponent he's faced and used his unorthodox striking and distance control to pick everyone apart. But Woodley is more explosive and can close the distance with a snap of the fingers. He hits hard and fast and only needs a small opening to put Thompson out. Woodley either gets an early finish or tires out and loses. Either way, 3-1 to finish is a generous price.
Stephens wins by T/KO (+510, SportsInteraction): Stephens is a likelier loser against Frankie Edgar but if he wins this fight it will be likely by knockout and at 5-1 odds, this is a good prop to take a gamble on. Edgar is the faster fighter with a wresting edge but Stephens is tougher, hits harder and has good wrestling defense. He is also the bigger fighter. Edgar will utilize his in-and-out movement to try to pick shots at Stephens but if and when Stephens lands a deadly uppercut or straight at Edgar, he could stun him and maybe even finish him. Take a small stab at Stephens to pull off the knockout.
