Real Madrid vs Tottenham
For a couple of seasons now, since Mauricio Pochettino put his program into place in North London, Tottenham Hotspurs have shown an incredible amount of potential.
In my opinion their ceiling in terms of ability was higher than any other English team's and sadly for them they fell short glory finishing runners up the last two seasons in the Premier League and not even making it out of the group stage of last year's Champions League.
So when they step foot on to the pitch of the Santiago Bernebeu this Tuesday October 17th at 2:45pm EST, from a neutral's perspective, you finally get to see just how this Tottenham squad matches up with the elite.
And with 1st place in Group H on the line, it should be a banger.

Coming off what was an exhausting international break, both of these sides eeked out league wins on Saturday. I wouldn't read too much into these performances as both teams had to be looking ahead to this midweek clash; particulary Spurs, who one would think, have a chip on their shoulder.
Harry Kane and his teammates want to show that they belong in the discussion for one of the best sides in Europe, but that won't be the case until they lift a major trophy. The opportunity to do as such won't come until later in the season, so for the moment the best they can do is prove their merit against the two time defending Champions of Europe.
Real Madrid have not hit their stride yet, and more worrisome would be their lackluster home form. In 5 home games in La Liga and the Champions League Real are 2-2-1 which can partly be blamed on Cristiano Ronaldo's early season suspension.
Tottenham, who have also struggled in their temporary Wembley home, have been lights out away going 5-0-0 and outscoring their opposition 15-2.
Now granted there is a major difference between going to face the Galacticos in Spain versus playing a league game at Goodison. That being said I think Tottenham can hold their own on Tuesday and are being given amazing odds by the books.
At +1.5 goals, the value is too good to pass on.
