LaLiga Predictions: Real Madrid vs Barcelona Odds, Picks, Live Score
Real Madrid Barcelona Preview
The Galacticos are feeling as good as any team can feel. They have a comfortbale lead at the top of La Liga, they are in the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League and they get to face their arch nemesis shorthanded this Sunday. And when Barcelona visit the Spanish Capital this weekend, they will have to do so without Neymar (suspension), who has been their best player this season.
Madrid may also be boosted by the return of Gareth Bale. Barcelona have lost an unthinkable 7 games away from home in all competitions this season. With so many things going right for Real Madrid and so many things go wrong for Barcelona, I am only led to one conclusion.
And if Real wins this Sunday that will be the last nail in the Catalans Coffin this season.
Real Madrid (+110)
Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi
And every time El Clasico rolls around we get to remind ourselves of the everlasting rivalry of the two best players on the planet. While all the accolades usually go to Lionel Messi, here is what Ronaldo has been able to put under his belt recently:
- Portugal won the Euro 2016 meaning that CR7 now has that elusive major trophy for his country, the major trophy that Lionel Messi is still without.
- Ronaldo is the all-time leader in Champions League goals with 100 to Messi's 94.
No team has ever won the Champions League in two consecutive seasons since the tournament's format review (1994-1995). If Ronaldo can lead Real Madrid to this season's trophy, they will be the first and rewrite history... I myself could care less about butting heads over who is better. I just feel privileged to have seen both of their careers flourish. They are both incredible to watch and we may never two players as good as these two again in our lives.
