Here are our top picks from this weeks MLS games.

- 1TORONTO FC vs FC CINCINNATI
- 2MONTREAL IMPACT vs PHILADELPHIA UNION
- 3MINNESOTA UNITED vs VANCOUVER WHITECAPS
- 4HOUSTON DYNAMO vs SEATTLE SOUNDERS
TORONTO FC vs FC CINCINNATI
Toronto FC’s season was perfectly encapsulated in the last week. A 3-1 road victory on Wednesday night was immediately followed by a loss by the same scoreline at home against Houston, and it leaves the Reds on the edge of the playoff positions and with plenty to do.
FC Cincinnati though are last in the Eastern Conference and have lost their last two games. Surely Toronto have to get the win here in front of their home fans. Go for Toronto FC (1.35).
MONTREAL IMPACT vs PHILADELPHIA UNION
Despite being top of the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia have shown plenty of inconsistency in recent weeks. Their record since crashing out of the US Open Cup in mid-June is 2-2-2, so this should give Montreal plenty of hope.
Sadly though the Impact have dropped off and are on a four match losing streak in the MLS. Key defender Bacary Sagna will also miss this game due to his red card last time out.
This one looks like going Philadelphia’s way. Go for the Union (2.72).

MINNESOTA UNITED vs VANCOUVER WHITECAPS
The Whitecaps haven’t won a match in the MLS since May 26th, as streak that is now eight matches. Their last five have all been defeats. Rock bottom and with next to no chance of playoff soccer, it looks like a season to forget.
Minnesota should win this one comfortably – they have been impressive in 2019 considering their short time in the MLS. Go for United (1.38).
HOUSTON DYNAMO vs SEATTLE SOUNDERS
The Western Conference playoff picture is starting to get ridiculous, with just seven points separating LA Galaxy and the Dynamo who are 2nd and 8th respectively.
Houston will be the more desperate in this clash given their struggle to squeeze into the top seven, although they also will be coming off a midweek match against Mexico’s Club America, so squad management will be key.
Seattle have had more time off and are coming off a win – we like what we see with the Sounders. Go for them at huge outsider odds of 3.40.
