Liverpool vs Leicester 2016 Prediction

Liverpool vs Leicester 2016 Prediction

Leicester fans must still be swooning. They won the Premiership last year as 5000/1 underdogs and next week, they enter the Champions League. Claudio Ranieri is playing with house money this season and perhaps for much longer. Jurgen Klopp on the other hand is not.

The highly touted German in his almost 60 games at Liverpool has underperformed his predecessor Brendan Rodgers. Last season they went to the Etihad and blew Manchester City's doors off and then lost at home to lowly Crystal Palace. And, much to the displeasure of Anfield faithful, their inconsistencies have carried on into this season having lost at Turf Moor to newly promoted Burnley only 6 days after winning a thriller at the Emirates. You still don't know what to expect from them. The Reds can be mesmerizing in attack, and absolutely befuddled when defending and that can be in the same 15 minutes of a game.

Liverpool vs Leicester Prediction

UNDER 2.5 GOALS +110 ON WILLIAM HILLHere's what we do know. Klopp wants his team to press high and force turnovers, and the Foxes want to suck you in so they can spring Vardy and Mahrez into the open field to counterattack.

Last season both league meetings between these 2 sides went under 2.5 goals and I see a low scoring affair again. The best attacking options for both teams, Coutinho, Mane, and Mahrez have been all across the world these past 2 weeks (actually just South America and Africa) and these are men, not machines; their bodies can't be expected to be at their highest level come kickoff Saturday.

Much like Leicester's game with Arsenal a couple weeks ago that ended scoreless, both teams should be willing to open it up, chances will be created but goals will be hard to come by. The Foxes may also welcome back Nampalys Mendy which should secure their midfield and make space a little harder to find. Expect an exciting game, but a low scoring one. Now get ready for Anfield Road's atmosphere and feel free to have a look out our MLS Week 29 predictions for more soccer picks this weekend.
