Valour FC vs Calvary FC on July 27
Valour FC have played just twice thus far on the fall schedule and aren’t off to a promising start. They’ve yet to win (0-1-1) and have scored just one goal. They haven’t scored more than once in their past 11 matches.
Spring champions Cavalry FC have picked up right where they left off, opening the fall slate 3-0. They’ve outscored the opposition 5-2. They’re 5-1 at home.
York9 FC vs. HFX Wanderers FC on July 20
York9 FC are truly the Charles Dickens of the CPL, because their story is a tale of two cities. Away from home, they are a dismal 1-3-3. But when they are home at York Lions Stadium, they own the pitch.
They are 2-0 at home in the fall schedule and 3-1-2 in their last six overall at home.
The Wanderers are 1-3 on the fall slate. But their lone victory was a 1-0 verdict over York9 FC at Halifax.
Edmonton FC vs Forge FC on July 27
Edmonton FC is treading water at 1-1-1 since opening the fall season. They are 2-0-1 in their last three at Clarke Stadium, including a 1-0 win over Forge FC on June 26.
Forge FC were second in the spring schedule at 6-3-1 and top the fall table are 3-0-1. No team has scored more goals than them (nine) but just two teams have conceded more goals (five).
